64th Annual Permian Basin Juried Art Exhibition

The Ellen Noël Art Museum in Odessa, TX will be hosting the 64th Annual Permian Basin Juried Art Exhibition June 2nd through August 21st. Submissions are open from April 1st through the 18th. This exhibition celebrates practicing artists in West Texas and surrounding regions. Over $2,000 in cash prizes will be awarded as well as the chance at a solo exhibition. In addition to the opportunity to display their works, artists may list works for sale with all proceeds going directly to them.  This year’s juror is Diana Kersey, San Antonio ceramics artist and Assistant Professor at Northwest Vista College.

North of the 45th

North of the 45th is an annual juried exhibition of artists living in the geographical area north of the 45th parallel in Michigan, Wisconsin, and Minnesota. The exhibition showcases artists living in this upper Midwest region from rural and urban areas.

John Foster, a writer and scholar of art brut, photography, and self-taught art is the selected juror for North of the 45th. He holds an MFA in painting from Washington University in St. Louis and has spent 40 years as an artist, educator, graphic designer, photographer, and curator of exhibitions throughout the United States. TMA Contemporary 2022 | Appleton, WI

Northeast Wisconsin’s top competitive, juried fine arts exhibition returns and is accepting applications! TMA Contemporary is a juried exhibit featuring work from Wisconsin’s most talented visual artists. The exhibition will span all three floors of the museum with past years having featured a range of mediums including sculpture, photography, drawing, painting, fiber, film, and more. The exhibition will feature approximately 100 Wisconsin artists.

Any Wisconsin artist working in any medium is invited to apply. Established and emerging artists welcome.

Formerly titled the SECURA Fine Arts Exhibition.

This annual juried exhibit showcases artwork from all over the state of California. MICA strives to highlight artists in all stages of their careers and offers them a chance to compete for a number of awards, including the coveted solo show opportunity. This regional show features artwork from an extensive variety of mediums and explores creative movements happening in California.

The City of McCall and McCall Public Library Board are seeking an artist or artist-team, 18 years or older and living within Idaho or one of its contiguous states, to work with designers and construction contractors to design, fabricate, and install artwork as a unique integrated or functional aspect of the upcoming 12,000 sq. ft. McCall Public Library Expansion Project.

In SWC’s Spring-Summer 2022 issue, we will look at collectivity and collaboration in art throughout the Southwest, encompassing artists collaborating with other artists, interdisciplinary teams, and artists who work closely with communities, landscapes, materials, or media.
