Rayuela - A Fading Kingdom

Large scale participatory installation created during an artist residency by CreArt in Valladolid, Spain in 2018.
Objectives:
- Researching how fragility of a creation (due to it's position, material, size or expression) influences peoples attention and movement.
- Provoking intervention in an artwork and interaction between artist and visitor by extending the size of the work (using interior and exterior space, horizontal and vertical surfaces).
- Challenging the idea of art as an object by focusing on the proces of drawing, erasing, documenting and redefining the shape of the work.
- Creating a dossier of motives (photo documentation of drawings) that can be further applied in new projects or transferred into other media. - Promoting freehand drawing as a basic tool for visual artistic expression.
- Engaging with the given surrounding and its specifics, observing how it influences my creative proces - creating a site specific work.
