NIGHTGARDEN, USA 2015

Lilith is a complex mythological character.
She is associated with (dark) feminine Powers, Chaos, the subconscious and dreams,
freedom, the night and the desert.

From her origins in Babylonian demonology she has wandered through ancient Egyptian, Israelite and Greek lore.
She reappears in the middle ages as Adam´s first wife (before Eve),
who leaves Eden because she cannot stand being treated as man´s inferior.

She shelters in the Red Sea, where we imagine she builds her own version of Eden – The NIGHTGARDEN.
