An artist's studio has become available  in eastern Taiwan  for two periods of 4 months each in 2023,  The first period is fixed (15 February-15 June), the second is negotiable.

The studio has an interior room (low natural light, good artificial /neon light) and natural light in gated  exterior working space, with village road view and mountain view on the horizon. The studio has a small bedroom attached. a  kitchen and bathroom with hot water and refrigerator and it is walking distance from oceanfront, mountain side,. forest and public transport.

Ssole occupancy of the  living and working space for Taiwanese and international artist and/or writer  wishing to live in a quiet artist village in the most scenic part of Taiwan, the artists is required to pay a contribution towards the rental a maintenance of the space.

EU passport holders do not need a visa to stay up to 90 days in Taiwan.  The resident artist may also choose to send work for forthcoming exhibition in UK,and will be invited to participate be part of an international indepdenent artists collective. The residency concludes with an interview and/or other activity. and a certificate of Artist Residence issued by the Hos. Public transport is regular to Taitung and Hualien and the main train stations. Shops and amenities nearby.
