Sportswear International stands apart from other fashion magazines as the only global industry publication that focuses on — and truly understands — smart, young, sophisticated, casual, contemporary style. Providing inside information, stunning fashion shoots and invaluable insight into the workings and offerings of an ever-changing industry, Sportswear International is THE must-read style bible of anyone, anywhere who works in the casual fashion sector.
From our permanent offices in Milan, Frankfurt New York and Moscow, and with a team of global correspondents that spans from Shanghai and Sao Paulo to Tokyo, London, Paris and Berlin, we bring international fashion and style news from the world's streets, catwalks, fairs and showrooms directly to our readers — giving them the knowledge to make informed, business-boosting decisions and truly inspired creative ones.
Bursting with trend reports, stories about the industry's top shops and most influential players and labels, inspirational photo shoots, and in-depth examinations of specific sectors, markets and territories, Sportswear International's six annual issues — each one is presented in an oversized, eye-catching glossy format — and yearly specialty supplements serve as must-have tools for thousands of fashion insiders worldwide. Why? Because no other magazine brings global fashion to them as well as we do.
Founded in 1975 as a European trade publication for the emerging casual fashion market, Sportswear International launched a separate North American edition five years later. In 2002, the two titles merged into today's single global edition to better reflect fashion's growing internationalism. Now distributed on all six developed continents, Sportswear International remains the premier publication about young, casual, contemporary fashion. With more than 30 years of reporting experience, it's the only magazine of its kind.
Glamour is a women's magazine published by Condé Nast Publications. Glamour is a very successful magazine. Founded in 1939 in the United States, it was originally called Glamour of Hollywood.
It is now published in numerous countries including the UK, USA, Sweden, France, Italy, Germany, Spain, Russia, Greece, Poland, South Africa, Hungary, Romania (the latest addition), The Netherlands, and in a Latin American (Spanish language) edition, and soon to be launched in Australia. In most cases it is a monthly publication.
Currently tag-lined “the world’s most independent fashion magazine”, DANSK was launched in 2003 as the creative playground for Style Counsel, Denmark’s leading fashion advertising and production agency. Slick and modern, the magazine presents international fashion seen through the smoothly minimalist eyes of DANSK – a rather distinct style, which can only ever be uniquely DANSK. It is published biannually in English and is distributed in over 20 countries worldwide.
A main idea behind DANSK was to fusion international fashion with the crème of Scandinavian labels, and to create a platform where this could be achieved with the same level of quality as seen in competing global fashion titles. Likewise, DANSK would feature renowned contributors who would give their take on “the DANSK eye” but also commission Scandinavian contributors to portray international fashion. In short, DANSK is based on a constant balance between the international and the national, which aims to create better potential for innovation. Similarly, the magazine changes its art direction annually and has reinvented itself numerous times.
For the 22nd issue, autumn/winter 2009, DANSK underwent its biggest reinvention to date. With a new team and a Gisele Bündchen clad cover, the magazine focused its attention on delivering an expert expression evident in supreme imagery, premium fashion, highly opinionated writing – a fashion title rarity – and an uninterrupted element of humour, all of which will take DANSK to a new and even better stage.
DANSK was founded by Uffe Buchard and Kim Grenaa. It lends its name to the annual DANSK Fashion Awards and the biannual official newspaper at Copenhagen Fashion Week, DANSK Daily.
