Fruits (written "FRUiTS") is a Japanese fashion magazine covering the fashions of the Harajuku district of Tokyo, established in 1997 by photographer Shoichi Aoki. Excerpts from the magazine were compiled to create the Phaidon Press books Fruits (2001) and Fresh Fruits (2005).

An exhibition of Aoki's photographs for the magazine, developed by the Powerhouse Museum, has toured museums in Australia and New Zealand.

The photographs document the individualistic styles young people wear around the Harajuku district of Tokyo. If there are identifiable themes, they can broadly be described as fun, original, authentic, and the recording of emerging social trends and technology. The message seems to shout through the repetitive format of these photos; a modern person head to toe in the foreground against an urban backdrop: "You are the best stylist to express yourself".

The fashion styles showcased in Fruits have a parallel concerning the disregard to conventions that punk takes to the extreme. However, unlike the punk movement, there is less, if any, of a political agenda expressed by "Fruits."

Fruits photographs styles which are distinct from Cosplay, which is a hobby where people dress like their favourite manga, anime, or video-game character.

The inside contains very few ads, most of which are to advertise a shop in Harajuku. The pictures take up the entire page, except for a white bar at the bottom which breaks down the person's outfit piece by piece to tell the reader where it was purchased (or in some cases, who made it), explains the "point of fashion" of the outfit (the main focal point of the ensemble), and gives a brief description of the person's age, social position, and interests. The back may include an interview with a staff member at the magazine. The very back shows reader-submitted pictures.

Under Catcha Co-operation, the magazine gained recognition amongst the local community and established itself as a leading name in the niche men’s magazine arena. In August 2008, the magazine was taken over by Roshambo Media, owned and managed by Mr. Glen Myles. It was then that Ms Akanksha Goel was hired as editor. She held the position until July 2008 when Ian Rich, the current editor, was brought on board.

FHM, originally published as For Him Magazine, is an international monthly men's lifestyle magazine.

The magazine began publication in 1985 in the United Kingdom under the name For Him and changed its title to FHM in 1994 when Emap Consumer Media bought the magazine, although the full For Him Magazine continues to be printed on the spine of each issue. Founded by Chris Astridge, the magazine was a predominantly fashion-based publication distributed through high street men's fashion outlets.

Circulation expanded to newsagents as a quarterly by the spring of 1987. After the emergence of James Brown's Loaded magazine (regarded as the blueprint for the lad's mag genre), For Him Magazine firmed up its editorial approach to compete with the expanding market and introduced a sports supplement. It then went monthly and changed its name to FHM. It subsequently dominated the men's market and began to expand internationally.

The magazine is printed on high quality glossy paper and the photography is of high technical quality. FHM became one of the best-selling magazines in Britain during the mid to late 1990s, selling more than 700,000 copies per month by 1999.

FHM was sold as part of the publishing company sale, from EMAP to Bauer Publishing in February 2008.

Launched in October 2002, CitySmart Magazine was the brainchild of Brigitte Baroukh, a savvy entrepreneur filled with a zest for life and a true passion for publishing. Building on inspiration from her years in New York, this go-getter dreamed of creating a no-nonsense magazine, offering the best of all worlds; incorporating playful spunk and hard-hitting editorials that would speak to the upscale culture of South Florida.

Her magazine began as an 8 x 8 easy-to-read resource guide for the local community of Coral Springs and Parkland. The response was so impressive that she was able to increase, not only overall circulation, but also the size of the magazine to an 8 x 11 in only six short months. Today, the publication has a regional slant with a readership of over 200,000 and distribution that extends regionally.

The growth has been phenomenal, yet CitySmart has maintained its original quality, integrity and mission. Within CitySmart’s pages, readers will enjoy five sections (City Scope, CityHealth & Wellness, CityStyle, CityLiving and CityEats). Each of these tackle issues from facing business owners today to the latest fashions on the runway, and even the hottest travel destinations. Allow CitySmart’s full Calendar of Events and Dining section to take you where you want to go. Our most recent addition, City Health & Wellness, provides crucial information on cutting-edge technologies in the world of medicine and science, as well as prevention tips for whatever ails you.
