ShowDesk is an innovative project created in 2009 by the Sottobosco Collective, its aim being to offer opportunities to young emerging artists to meet and present their work in public. Conceived as a “nomadic device”, the project was hosted in several Italian cities including Genoa, Venice, Milan and Rome. The ShowDesk format allows artists to meet in an informal setting where they can discuss and debate issues related to their personal Poetics and Art in general. A sense of selflessness and the spirit of sharing and cooperation are the founding principles of this open source project.
