Urban Landscapes

J. Mane Gallery invites submissions for its Urban Landscape online juried art exhibition for the month of September 2018.  

Landscapes in art are about capturing spaces within our world.  Sometimes vast.  Sometimes microscopic.  

For this competition we want to see you take it to the streets and show us your best Urban Landscapes.  Artists are encouraged to share their artistic vision and interpretation of the cities around them. The artwork can vary from realism to surrealism to abstraction, and all media are accepted, including 3-D. All artists over the age of 18, regardless of location or experience, are encouraged to submit their best inspired work.

New Contest Themes at The A3 Review

The A3 Review is an international magazine that behaves like a map. Its themed monthly contests are brought to you by the folks who make Writing Maps. We believe in words and images, and love a combination of the two. We're looking for prose, poetry, graphic stories, photography, paintings, drawings, and other visual and word-based creations and various combinations of the above.

We welcome submissions from everywhere in the world.

Each month's two winning entries will appear in The A3 Review, a fold-out literary and art magazine published every six  months.

If I could go back and relive the last few years of my life, I would relive each moment in exactly the same way. This simple realization emerged from deep internal reflection. Some people exercise or practice yoga, others meditate; I engage in walking meditation practice.

Headed by artist and curator Ram Samocha, founder of Draw to Perform, the D2P Residency program for Drawing Performance is a unique opportunity for professional artists and art students to engage in this dynamic artistic discipline.  The program provides foundation to develop drawing and performance skills and translate creative practice into live action. This is a 15 days structured program of mentored residency. It includes one on one mentorship, workshops, intensive studio time, studio visits and artist talks by UK drawing performance artists.

Abstracts

J. Mane Gallery invites submissions for its Abstracts online juried art exhibition for the month of April 2018.  

For this competition artists are encouraged to share their abstract artistic vision.  All artists over the age of 18, regardless of location or experience, are encouraged to submit their best abstract inspired art and photography.

Deadline for Entries:  March 25, 2018

Opening of Online Exhibition:  April 1, 2018

Online Exhibition Closed & Archived:  April 30, 2018 (remains on website under "Gallery Archives”)

Entry Fees

An entry fee of $30 for up to 5 images.

No more than a total of 5 images will be accepted in any one submission.  An artist may enter more than once.

Funky Ferndale Art Fair

Twice as Funky as your average Fine Art Fair! Funky Ferndale Art Fair Takes place in Downtown Ferndale; a thriving business community with distinctive boutiques and bistros. The lively atmosphere attracts young upwardly mobile professionals. We average 40,000 shoppers attending over the weekend. This show is designed to provide a showcase for artists that have work that appeals to that group. We feature art that shows more than a bit of creativity, that challenges the mind, or simply sparks the imagination. Artwork that does not sit quietly, but invites a reaction.
