Open art call for the upcoming exhibition

This is Seattle

Seeking artworks that capture  - or are inspired by -- the raw beauty of our great city. The gallery is particularly interested in seeing artworks (representational or abstract) that highlight the diverse people and communities who contribute to the city's vibrant culture and daily life.

Artworks that touch on similar themes, visual elements, or are inspired by other locations in the PNW are welcome to apply. 

All media types welcome. 

 

Broken Britannia

'Broken Britannia' will be part of the second Swindon Art Fringe Festival which will run this year from 16th - 29th June 2025 across various high profile venues in the Swindon town centre.

For 'Broken Britannia' submissions of physical art pieces; 2D, 3D, photography are welcome, but also there is a keen interest for digital art and moving image and audio to enable artists across the globe to showcase their work and their interpretation of what it is like to be alive in Britain in 2025 or living overseas and observing from afar.

Deadline for submissions ideas is the 30th April 2025.

Physical art pieces need to be delivered to the venue prior to the exhibition and remain on-site until the end of the exhibition.

Open call for artists: Saari Residence 2026

Mynämäki, Finland

Kone Foundation's Saari Residence welcomes applications from professional artists from all fields of art for the international artist in residence in 2026. Two-month residencies offer free accommodation and a working grant, and there is a possibility to apply for support for ecological travel or travel from the Global South.

Located in a culturally and historically significant countryside setting in Mynämäki, Finland, the Residence offers an excellent and inspiring working environment and a platform to meet each other and share their thoughts and ideas.

January 2026 - Residency Available in Colombia

The artist residency program (AIR) is designed for visual artists, musicians, writers, architects, clay artists, performers, and other makers. It is a self-directed residency, where artists have full access to studio spaces of all kinds (visual art, music, movement, writing, etc.) throughout the vast and beautiful campus that includes a natural park in process of about 230 acres. Artists are given the space, freedom, and encouragement to explore and experiment with their work.

TUR Artist Residency in Riga || August – September 2025

TUR, Contemporary Space for Art, is mostly known for curated art exhibitions in its characteristic industrial-meets-white-cube space at the core of one of Riga’s cultural quarters. With a focus on artistic experimentation, interdisciplinary exchange, and public engagement beyond the traditional art scene, TUR fosters a dynamic platform for innovative contemporary art and dialogue.

In 2025, TUR will expand its activities by offering an artist in residence program that supports artistic development and research, networking and international collaboration. 

The residency is run in cooperation with two other renowned cultural institutions in Riga – the international photography platform, ISSP and the comic art publisher kuš!.

Nomad Spirit International Program: Open Call for Artists From Finland, Austria, France and Germany

Nomad Spirit – International Program 2025 invites Austrian, Finnish, French, and German artists to apply for public art program, to be held in remote places of the Gobi region of Mongolia, from Jun 11 to 29, 2025. The program aims to raise public awareness of climate change through organization of public art events and creative activities. The project will select 4 international and 4 Mongolian artists.
