Open call for a virtual residency: Arts Unchained; For democracy in the arts.

wendy.network is announcing another virtual residency for creative individuals of any background and/or mediums! Our main purpose at wendy.network is to find new ways for artists to thrive without having to struggle for survival, by fostering a radically empathetic community of artists and art lovers. This residency is dedicated to the ‘democratization of the arts’, where together with other participants, mentors and wendy.network team members, the residents will strive to create, imagine and work towards projects that can bring the society closer to the democratization of the arts.

West of Center: Art That Push Boundaries

The Northville Art House seeks contemporary artworks created in any media by artists, 18 and over, who build upon artistic tradition and embrace new experiments in the visual arts for the 13th annual West of Center: Art that Pushes Boundaries. Artists are encouraged to push the boundaries of art imagery and practices. Boundaries to consider include those set by traditional techniques, materials, concepts, genre, subject matter, personal, societal etc.

Roots: Transplanted

An artist's artistic, geographic, and cultural roots play significant roles in their artistic process and statement. This year's tagline aims to include work the grew from current events and how they affected the process of making for the artist.  The exhibit will highlight original fine art inspired by an artist's perspective of their "roots" and artistic journey. Interpretations of the theme may be broad and entries are not limited to representational works. All submissions are chosen through a blind jury.
