Gallery Ring I LOVE... Online Juried Art Exhibition

Gallery Ring is seeking submissions for I LOVE...  Artwork of whomever, wherever or whatever you love is eligible such as a portrait of your best friend, a work of your cherished park or backyard, your orange kitten, etc.  Subjects do not have to be physical and can be conceptual or symbolic, such as silence, harmony, peace, stillness, activity, energy and noise.  Abstract and experimental work is also welcome as long it is an interpretation of something you love that is indicated in the title.   2D artwork including photography/digital in all artistic styles from realistic to experimental is eligible.

Queer Body Horror

Deriving from the idea of Judith Butler's unfulfilled promise of writing about “the place of sharp machines” and “the technology of the knife in debates about intersexuality and transsexuality alike,” the publication "Queer Body Horror" aims to "force an encounter with the real of the biological body and the difference it introduces into the world, the real of the sexed body, that exceeds the being of the phenomenological lived body and the discursive body, while somehow still being intertwined with these other two bodies...".

Publication Opportunity in Volume 13 for Emerging Artists

Apply to have your work considered to be published in Volume 13. FOA is a platform dedicated to elevating the work of emerging artists. Our books include the work of artists who work in a variety of mediums selected by jurors from around the art world focusing on emerging art. FOA is the only art book dedicated to emerging artists of all mediums, and we help bridge the gap between artists and the art world.

Volume 13 will be distributed to over 50 galleries, curators, and institutions. It will also be available in retain online through Amazon and Barnes and Noble. Accepted artists will have a four-page spread of their work, information, and a short essay written by an art historian. Volume 13 will be juried by Marco Galvan, Alice Bonnot, Camilla Moresi, and FOA staff.
