ACEARTS AND SOMERSET WILDLIFE TRUST ARE WORKING IN PARTNERSHIP TO ORGANISE A NEW BRITISH WILDLIFE OPEN EXHIBITION TO SHOWCASE SOME OF THE BEST CONTEMPORARY ART INSPIRED BY BRITAIN’S DIVERSE WILDLIFE.
We hope this exhibition will inspire more people to enjoy and appreciate the wildlife to be found in Somerset and beyond.

CALL FOR ENTRIES
THE BRITISH WILDLIFE OPEN IS A NEW EXHIBITION TO CELEBRATE THE BEST OF BRITISH WILDLIFE ART. BOTH ESTABLISHED, EMERGING AND AMATEUR ARTISTS, WHETHER THEY ARE LIVING IN SOMERSET, ELSEWHERE IN BRITAIN OR THE WORLD, ARE INVITED TO ENTER UP TO FIVE WORKS WHICH DEPICT BRITISH WILDLIFE.
We encourage artists working in all media (including photography) to enter original artworks. All works must be available to purchase during the exhibition, which will take place 6 October to 3 November 2018 at ACEarts, Somerton.
Submissions
Submissions can be made via our online form here.
Each artist may submit up to five works (painting, sculpture, photography, printmaking etc). Each entry requires a good quality photograph of the original work (8x10 inch print on photographic paper if by post) or online submission (JPG max 5MB). Each photograph must be clearly labelled on the back with artist name, title of work, media used and price (including 45% commission). If you wish us to return your photograph please enclose a SAE. If your work is selected you will be asked to send a high resolution image for print purposes.
Entry form and fee
The entry form must be completed and returned with the entry fee: £10 per work. Fees may be paid by BACS for the credit of Art Care Education, account number 60032464, sort code 60-80-06 and please include the name of the artist as a reference, or by cheque payable to Art Care Education and please write the name of the artist on the back.
All entry forms, cheques/payment by BACS and submissions, whether via the website or by post, must be received by ACEarts at British Wildlife Open 2018, ACEarts, Market Place, Somerton, Somerset TA11 7NB by Friday 4 May 2018.

Call for Artists "New Beginnings" Art Exhibition

Manhattan Arts International announces its Call for Artists for its annual “New Beginnings” online exhibition. We invite artists from around the world to submit their images. All subjects, styles, sizes and mediums are welcome.
Widespread Promotion: “New Beginnings” at https://www.manhattanarts.com will be widely publicized across our several social media networks, announced in the Manhattan Arts International weekly subscription-based e-newsletter, promoted on The Healing Power of ART & ARTISTS, Renée Phillips The Artrepreneur Coach, Artweek.com, and several other art websites and blogs.
Exhibition dates: January 20 – March 20, 2018
Entry deadline: January 8, 2018
Eligibility: All artists 18 years or older, from all origins, who have their own website.
Media: All 2-D and 3-D media including drawings, paintings, printmaking, photography, digital art, sculpture, works on paper, wood, glass, ceramics, fiber art, mixed media and installation. No video/film.
Curator: Renée Phillips, Director of Manhattan Arts International.
Judging Criteria: “The goal will be to show a wide variety of styles and media and artistic interpretations — feelings, ideas and topics related to “New Beginnings” — that occur in nature and the human experience. I will be seeking artists who show originality, mastery of their media, and reflect the theme through their art and artist’s statements.”
Manhattan Arts International Awards
50 Artists will be selected for this online exhibition: One entry image from each artist selected will be shown with their statement and link to their website.
10 Artists will receive an Award of Excellence
40 Artists will receive an Award of Merit
First Place Award
An article about the artist will appear in the Manhattan Arts International Articles section. The artist will have their art displayed on the home page top banner and will be promoted across social media networks and in the Manhattan Arts International subscription-based email newsletter. An article about the artist will be featured on Artweek.com a website that attracts 280,000 visitors each month.
More Awards
Publicity and consultation awards will be presented by James Bacchi, co-owner of ArtHaus gallery; Carolyn Edlund, ArtsyShark and Art Business Institute; Nancy Reyner, international artist and author; and Renée Phillips, curator and director of Manhattan Arts International
Entry fee: $20 for 1-3 entries if submitted before November 10th. After that date the fee will be $30 for 1-3 entries.

Call for Artists - Skies International Art Competition

Fusion Art invites submissions for the Skies online art exhibition for the month of September 2017.
For this competition, artists are encouraged to submit their best art and photography depicting the sky. The sky is everything that lies above the surface of the Earth, including the atmosphere and outer space. The theme includes any depiction of the skies, including clouds, rainbows, aurorae, lightning, precipitation and storms, stars, planets, moon, celestial events, the night sky, the day sky, dusk and dawn - just as long as the sky is the main focus.
The artwork can range from realism to surrealism to abstraction and all artists over the age of 18, regardless of location or experience, are encouraged to submit their best representational and nonrepresentational work.
Cash prizes and worldwide publicity and promotion for winning artists. Best in Show winners are invited to participate in the 2nd annual group show in Palm Springs in November 2017.

Sketchbook West Challenge


Sketchbook West is a unique adventure where artist sketch, draw, paint or design in tiny books.
ALL Artists who complete and return a Sketchbook will become part of this show.
A unique insight into the artist working process.
1. Artists purchase a Sketchbook and begin the creation process.
Price is $25 for artists within the USA (Includes Sketchbook and delivery anywhere in the USA)
Price is $35 for artists outside the USA (Includes Sketchbook and delivery anywhere outside the USA)
2. In January 2017, artists return their Sketchbooks the the gallery.
3. In April , the gallery shows ALL of the books for the ENTIRE month of April.
3a. If the artist creates a larger piece of art where the Sketchbook acted as a catalystic for creation, artists can send in an image of their art.
3b. If their art is selected, artists send their larger works to the gallery to exhibit.
4. The gallery returns the Sketchbooks to the artists.
