Call for Artists: Crocker Art Museum Art Auction Season 2023

Artists from Sacramento and beyond are encouraged to submit their work to the 2023 Art Auction Season to help support the Crocker Art Museum’s exhibitions and community-building programs and classes. We hope you will be one of these artists! Your contribution to this annual fundraiser directly benefits the thousands of children, families, and adults served by the Museum every year.

Artists may choose to submit artwork to the Art Auction for consideration, donate a work to Big Names, Small Art (BNSA), or both! All entries for Art Auction and BNSA must be submitted online through their respective forms. Art submission forms that are emailed or sent through the mail will not be accepted.

About the 2023 Art Auction Season

bildingship

“bildingship” is a working fellowship for young artists aged up to 31 years, to use bilding as space for their own artistic work as well as actively engaging in the regular workshop programme for the duration of seven months (prolongation to one year is possible), including part-time employment (maximum income 450€ per month). The aim is to convey the concept and working methods of bilding to the artists, while at the same time, imparting artistic processes directly to the children and adolescents based on the artists on-site work, to establish mutual ties and to promote and expand international discourse in the field of art and cultural mediation with young people, based on the practical experiences gained at bilding.
