Las Laguna Gallery presents 2020 Botanical.

For this artist opportunity the gallery is seeking works that show flowers, plants, trees, leaves, cactus, or succulents.

Works in Acrylic, Airbrush, Assemblage, Charcoal, Color Pencil, Collage, Digital Art, Drawings, Encaustic, Fiber Art, Graphite, Illustration, Mixed Media, New Media, Oil, Painting, Pastel, Photography (Traditional and Digital), Printmaking and Watercolor, will be considered.

All local, national and international artists, professional and amateur are encouraged to submit their artwork for this art exhibition.

Germinate is an intensive, week long residency for artists to study plants in Canada. Twice daily workshops, lectures and field trips will give you first hand expiriences with a broad range of botanical information.

Activities include!

Artist talk (we invite you to present your work to the group)
Lecture of contemporary artists working with living plants
Visit to the National Museum of Nature Herbarium archives
Visit to the Ottawa Seed Library to learn about seed saving and genetics
Visit to the Arboritum with a tree specialist
Hike the Gatineau National Park with a moss expert
Visit the Fletcher Wildlife Garden to talk about native vs invasive plants
Studio visit and Kirilian Photography demonstration
Plant sonification demonstration/workshop
Visit the University of Ottawa's teaching green houses and learn about mushroom/plant relationships
Forage the Wild Garden with a herbalist and learn to process edible and medicinal wild plants
Collect single celled photosynthesizing pond life to image wiht a microscope
Lecture on poisonous garden plants.

8th Annual “Botanical & Floral” Online Art Competition

Light Space & Time Online Art Gallery announces an art call for the gallery’s 8th Annual “Botanical & Floral” Online Juried Art Competition for the month of July 2018.  The gallery invites all 2D and 3D artists (including photographers) from around the world to make online submissions for possible inclusion in the Gallery’s August 2018 online group art exhibition.    

Light Space & Time encourages entries from artists regardless of where they reside and regardless of their experience or education in the art field.  We suggest they send the gallery their best interpretation of the theme “Botanicals” and submit their best representational or non-representational art, The “Botanical” theme will be the artist’s interpretation and depiction of botanical and floral art. Botanical subjects will include flowers, herbs, fruit, leaves, plants and related botanical and floral subjects.  The deadline to apply to this art competition is July 27, 2018.

Overall Category winning artists of the "Botanicals” Art Exhibition will receive extensive worldwide publicity and promotion. In addition, the winning artists will receive extensive worldwide publicity in the form of email marketing, 550+ press release announcements, event announcement posts and social media marketing. 

Winning artists will also have their art exhibition results posted and promoted on Artweek.com. Artweek produces 800,000 page impressions per month, 280,000 website visitors per month and has 30,000 newsletter subscribers.  

Our goal is to make the art world aware of the exhibition and in particular, the winning artists’ accomplishments.   Links back to each artist’s website is included as part of this award package.

Artists will also receive a digital Award Certificate, Event Postcard, Press Releases and “Leveraging Your Success” marketing materials if they place in this exhibition.  Interested artists should provide their best botanical and floral art now or before the deadline. 5th Annual Botanicals Art Exhibition Now Online Ready to View

Light Space & Time Online Art Gallery is pleased to announce that its November 2015 art exhibition is now posted on their website and ready to be viewed online.  The “Botanicals” theme of this exhibition was considered to be any art which depicted flowers, herbs, leaves, plants and related floral subjects. The gallery accepted botanical art that was either representational or abstract.

An art competition was held in October 2015 to provide the works selected for this exhibition. The gallery received submissions from 16 different countries as well as entries from 34 different US states.  There were 487 entries judged for this art competition.
