Yale Center for British Art Residential Awards

The Yale Center for British Art welcomes applications for its Residential Artist Awards, which are open to visual artists who are working in any field related to British visual and material culture. Awards are also available for scholars, curators, and writers. The deadline for applications is January 5, 2024.

These awards are intended to support the research phase of creative practice. Awardees receive a dedicated working space in the museum's Reference Library and have access to the YCBA collection as well as to the galleries, museums, and libraries on the wider Yale campus. Studio space is not provided.

ING Discerning Eye 2022 Exhibition

London's most celebrated annual open exhibition returns at Mall Galleries. The ING Discerning Eye is famous for its focus on small-scale works and its unique selection process.

Out of 7,300 entries, 527 pieces by 359 artists were selected for the ING Discerning Eye 2022 exhibition by:

• RWA Director Alison Bevan,
• film director Gurinder Chadha,
• curator Aindrea Emelife,
• ArtCan Director Kate Enters,
• printmaker David Ferry and painter Ansel Krut.

The selection panel, made up of experts from across the art world - two artists, two collectors and two critics - chose pieces spanning across all mediums, styles and genres to represent some of the best art made in Britain today.
