Reclaim Award

Billboards become cultural conceptual surfaces, artistic canvases, or photographic landscapes. The city a public museum. Reclaim replaces advertising on large surfaces with your art. 

With the award we want to make a contribution towards culturally enhancing the public space and making Cologne’s urban profile more attractive. We want to display billboards that stimulate, illustrate diversity and difference and open up conceptual spaces. Billboards that inspire and activate and have free and independent content. We want to make a contribution towards ensuring more discussions about the shaping and use of the public space. We want surfaces that puzzle us and promote experimental and lateral thinking. Easily perceivable, public and for everyone!

International Art Competition “Abstract”

Contemporary Art Room Gallery is proud to announce their 2nd “Abstract” Online Art Competition for the month of May 2019. This is an international competition and artists from around the world are welcome to submit their work. For the Abstract theme in this competition we call artists to submit their best nonrepresentational artworks in all kinds of concepts and mediums. All visual art mediums are acceptable (painting, photography, drawing, sculpture, digital, prints, fiber art, collage or installation art) except sound and video art.

30th Annual Juried Competition

The Juried Competition is open internationally to artists 18 and older. Only original work, created in the last two (2) years, and not previously shown at the Center for the Arts, Dalton Gallery will be accepted. All forms of media are eligible, including video.

ArtTreasury Collector’s Annual Call For Artists – Last Call Deadline March 31, 2019

ArtTreasury is a brand new magazine that will become an annual treasure box of artist information and artworks. It will feature each visual artist in their own section, complete with their art, artist statement and contact information. Art can include the full range including paintings, illustration, photography, mixed media, digital, printmaking, installations, ceramics, fabric, jewelry, sculpture, performance art, graphic design, cartooning and graffiti.

“Abstract” International Call - Art & Literature Journal - Deadline April 30, 2019

| Theme:

Abstractions are all around us. Ideas can be abstract; existing as an idea, feeling or quality but not having a tangible existence. Some conversations can be abstract, vague and theoretical and not based on particular examples or facts. And of course, there is abstract art which evokes feelings without trying to realistically represent the appearance of people or things. Abstract art, like poetry, offers a fragment of a mysteriously familiar narrative without directly revealing it in a realistic way. Reveal your most ABSTRACT thoughts.
