Merged II: d'Art's Second National Exhibition of Collage and Assemblage

Description: : Merged is an exhibition of original unique 2D and 3D collage and assemblage artworks that includes mediums specifically but not limited to found objects, recycled materials, paper, fiber, wood, and metals. Collages and assemblages must be free standing, wall mount, or pedestal ready. Work may be no longer than 60” in its longest dimension, and weigh no more than 50 pounds. D’Art Center will have an in person public reception according to state COVID Guidelines, will do a FB Live of the reception awards, will upload the award video to YouTube, and will also list the exhibiting pieces for sale on the d’Art Center website. The selected artists will be simultaneously showcased on Artsy, instagram, DBFA website, and Facebook.

Curating Collage Workshop

A four week, virtual/online workshop in October-November 2020 with the University of Vermont’s Fleming Museum of Art

Curating is a vital part of art’s function: a curator creates a bridge between artwork and audience. For artists, this process can be confusing and mysterious. The goal of the Curating Collage Workshop is to equip artists with the tools to curate their own work, to work with curators, and build exhibitions that connect with diverse audiences.

Creativity in Quarantine: Virtual Collage Workshop and Online Exhibition!

The Living Gallery in Brooklyn, New York, has partnered with artist and educator Meagan J. Meehan to host a one-hour long collage Zoom class on Thursday, May 7th, 2020, at 6pm to 7pm EST (aka New York time). The class will run for one hour and is open to anyone who is interested in learning collage, regardless of their experience or skill level. Several different techniques will be discussed. After particiapnt's who attended the class complete their collages, their art will be displayed via an online exhibiton courtesy of The Living Gallery's official website.
