Identity

How does one identify? Merriam-Webster defines identity as “the distinguishing character or personality of an individual”. What do we consider our distinguishing characteristics? Do we define ourselves by where we are from? Gender, race, orientation? Or maybe our careers and hobbies? Identity is vital to our senses of self, community, and ambitions.

Manifold global invites artists of all backgrounds and mediums to submit artwork related to the theme “identity”

ELIGIBILITY:  Artists from any country are welcome to apply with works in any medium: painting, sculpture, digital, printmaking, fiber, photography, mixed media, installation and more. A university degree is not required to participate in our open call.

Critical Moss -- making Art Work outside the metropolitan bubble

A play on words, artists may be as stones, rolling beyond their origins, beyond the buzz offered by art school crits, first nights, gallery visits. Isolated artists need methodologies to 'kickstart' a practice, absent a critical mass of fellow artists. This project is addressed to artists of any calling, who feel isolated ( geographically , culturally or sensory )

Unravelled at the London Wetland Centre

Unravelled are delighted to announce a new partnership between ourselves and the Wildfowl and WetlandsTrust which will see us commissioning and exhibiting new site-specific artwork by up to 10 artists at the London Wetland Centre in Barnes over a year long programme.

Paradox will challenge artists to respond to this unique wetland environment by exploring issues of conflict through conservation, climate change and migration.
