LCA Prize 2019

The London Contemporary Art Prize aims to discover artists who have yet to establish a profile on the contemporary London art scene. The Prize will promote artists working in one or more of the following media: drawing, painting, printing, sculpture, photography, digital art.

After the success of previous years, we look forward again to receiving the wide diversity of work from entrants across the world.

AADK Spain Open Call 2019: Landscape

AADK Spain invites all artists and researchers who wish to work on the topics of body, territory and spatiality to participate in its Artistic Residency Program. For this call, projects that respond to  the landscape will be prioritised. The Programme is carried out in Centro Negra, current headquarters of AADK Spain, located in the town of Blanca, Murcia. It is conceived of as a space for reflection and creative research that encourages its participants to interweave their projects with the historical, cultural and geographical context of the region. 

The 2019 Christenberry Scholarship

The late William Christenberry was best known for his evocative photographs, collages, assemblages, paintings, drawings, and sculptures of his birthplace, Hale County, Alabama, and for his haunting vision of the American South.  As a teacher and mentor to hundreds of students at the Corcoran College of Art and Design in Washington, DC he was a guiding force for aspiring artists.

Snehta Open Call - Artists Winter - Spring 2019

SNEHTA OPEN CALL - ARTISTS 
WINTER - SPRING 2019

Snehta wants to open its doors to twelve (12) contemporary art 
practitioners to live and work in Athens. Each residency block consisting of four artists will expand within the period of two months.

Residency blocks:

January-February
March - April
May - June

An Athens-based curator will work with each artist throughout their stay and support their research and the realisation of their exhibition. They will aim to knit a tight collaboration between the artists, themselves and the local scene and work towards an idea or concept which will result in an exhibition. The Snehta team will coordinate and monitor this collaboration throughout 

Call-out to curators for Fringe Arts Bath 2019

Do you have an idea for an exhibition, a performance, intervention or event?

Fringe Arts Bath (FaB) is offering aspiring Curators the opportunity to devise a show as part of FaB Festival, 24 May - 9 June 2019.

We invite fresh & challenging concepts: FaB is a test-bed for the new, wonderful, sometimes odd. We encourage you to think outside the box! Shows can include: performance, intervention, installation, multi-media, video work, photography, drawing, painting, sculpture & all in between. Anyone can apply, any level of experience: students, graduates, artists, local, national, international.
