Within The Scroll - A dance/ movement invitation

Call for dance entries

Calling All Dancers, Movers and Expansive Thinkers!

Within the Scroll is a choreography / movement project using and questioning the unique stage of social media as a performance venue. Through this project I am interested in the following questions (and more!). How does social media connect and inspire us? Can one score be inclusive and inviting to dancers and non-dancers of multiple genres and backgrounds? Are we actually a community in our links, follows, double taps and likes? And lastly, can this project promote the investigation of where we are in real time and space while bringing positivity to inclusive dance in social media?

Submitted videos will be shared in two ways. 1. Posted on various social media outlets and 2. edited together to make a larger dance on film project. Artists can choose between either or both options. Complete project guidelines are available at the link below.

Submissions received February 14th through June 16th, 2018.
