An exciting weekend lab for creators of family theatre...


The Turned On Its Head Weekend Lab at the Barbican is an intensive,bespoke training workshop for anyone interested in making participatory theatre/dance for very young children.
Run by Artistic Director Liz Clark, the weekend involves an exclusive look at the blueprint for the companys 2010 hit showShiny, as well as techniques used forSponge (interactive theatre for babies and very young children)- premiering at the Barbican this December.
Participants will leave having gained invaluable insight on immersive theatre, the neuroscience behind dance, improvisation with families as active participants, and a whole lot more. Expect hands on making, creating and dancing, talking, drinking tea and eating cake.
