Fully Funded Opportunity for Artists Affected by Natural Disasters

The Byrdcliffe Art Community has received a generous grant from the Pollock-Krasner Foundation for visual artists living/working in North America (including Mexico and Puerto Rico) who have been displaced or otherwise affected by a natural disaster.  The Pollock-Krasner grant will offer a full fellowship and stipends to attend the four-week residency in Woodstock, NY in Summer 2020 for up to 4 selected visual artists. The grant will cover all fees plus provide a stipend up to $500 to assist with travel to and from the residency and an additional materials reimbursement up to $500 to help compensate for lost and damaged materials. Eligible disciplines include painting, photography, printmaking, sculpture, weaving, ceramics, and other visual media.

ChaNorth: Apply for the Summer 2020 Artist in Residence Program

ChaNorth (Chashama North) accepts applications in all creative fields, including but not limited to visual arts, choreography, writing, music composition, and performance. National and international artists, emerging and mid-career artists are welcome to apply. For international artists, we can provide letters of support, but each artist is responsible for arranging their own visas.

In 2006 Chashama opened the ChaNorth international artist residency in Pine Plains, New York. The ChaNorth residency offers the opportunity for emerging and mid-career artists to work and live in the Hudson Valley for four weeks. Annually the program hosts 49 artists during seven 4-week sessions running from April through October.

NXTHVN 2020 Studio and Curatorial Fellowships

Each year, NXTHVN welcomes seven emerging artists, two curators, and five high school apprentices to participate in its highly-competitive Fellowship and Apprenticeship programs. With a focus on mentorship, professional development, and hands-on training, the cohort works collaboratively to cultivate their practices within the context of New Haven’s creative community.

The NXTHVN team, with Deborah Berke Partners, has designed a unique shared environment—within a state-of-the-art facility—where artists, curators and the local community converge to make art, exchange ideas, and extend their networks.
