Asolo Art Film Festival

Only works produced after the 1st of January 2017 are eligible for the competition. If the film is not in Italian or in English it must have Italian or English subtitles. Should subtitles be missing when required, the film will automatically be excluded from the competition.

Section “Film on Art”, for films dedicated to Art in any form (visual art, architecture, dance, music…), biographies, historical reconstruction work, critical interpretation on the protagonists of Art. Categories:

- Film on Art, feature films (min. 46’) 
- Film on Art, short films (max 45’)

Seeking Dance Films! 

Los Angeles Dance Shorts Film Festival is an annual festival featuring dance films that are under ten minutes.

Our third annual Film Festival will take place in Los Angeles, California in June of 2019.

Mission: Gathering creators and lovers of screendance in one place, to celebrate dance film and inspire each other, Along with spread awareness of movement on film in the community.

Featuring: Networking, Screening and Filmmakers Q&A.

Important Dates:

ScreenDance Intensive

In addition to viewing and discussing a plethora of dance film shorts from around the world, and getting an overview of this now international genre, participants are led through a variety of editing exercises, the preliminaries of getting coverage, examine choreography for camera - what works and what doesn’t, incorporating elements including time, distance, lighting, jump cuts, and much more. Each participant leaves with professionally shot footage of their own creation & direction.

Adventure Filmmakers Masterclass

Overview

Join award winning, industry leading faculty and guest speakers for this hands-on, technical skill- and- theory-based masterclass. The program builds upon the foundational knowledge delivered in our Adventure Filmmakers Workshop (AFW) to provide AFW alumni as well as experienced adventure filmmakers with an advanced course. 

Participants will attend this masterclass with a project in mind, including a story idea, raw footage, or a project in post-production. We’ll dive deeply into edit, sound, camera techniques, and more. Participants will gain the tools required to navigate the complexities of producing quality films – from an idea to a final screening master.

FFTJ 2019 opens the call to 6 different short film categories, if you are a filmmaker, producer, director or writer of a short film, participate in this competition!

 

Your short film might be one of the winners of the 6 categories and receive a
$500 USD PRIZE (a $500 USD prize will be issue to each one of the categories)

Open Call for Time-Based Art & Films

Based in New Brunswick, New Jersey, the NOFLASH Video Show is dedicated to showcasing rigorous new work by emerging time-based artists and filmmakers, local and international. The third annual NOFLASH is now open for submissions in the following categories: hybrid/experimental short films, narrative/documentary short films, feature film, moving-image installation/video art, live performance art and sound art. Last year, 25 works were selected from around 750 submissions, ranging from undergraduate students to working artists in nine different countries. Submit by February 1  (free for students, $5 standard).
