Submissions for Open City Documentary Festival 2018 are now open. We're looking for the most exciting and innovative non-fiction storytelling in short, mid-length and feature length documentaries as well as cross-platform projects. We welcome artists' film in a non-fiction mode.

Open City Documentary Festival creates an open space to nurture and champion the art of creative documentary and non-fiction filmmakers, and over 4,000 people attended last year's festival to enjoy some of the very best in contemporary and international documentary. Short Film submissions open for Norwich Film Festival 2018

Want to get your short film seen, win cash and software prizes, and scoop a prestigious trophy?
Make sure you submit your short film to Norwich Film Festival 2018.

Now in it's 8th year, the festival is a British Independent Film Awards (BIFA) Qualifying Short Film Festival and was also chosen by The Metro as one of 'the top UK film festivals you need to know about.' 

Films should be no longer than 25 minutes long and must have been completed after January 2016. 

This year's categories include Best Short Film, Best Animation, Best Documentary, Best Student Film, One Minute Movie and the return of The East Anglian Award. Winners of each category get a £1000 cash prize.

PLENA RONDO Global Screening Day kicks off at FACT (Foundation for Art and Creative Technology) in Liverpool, UK a discussion about the meaning of language, it’s place and power in our globalised society.

Multiple screenings will be hosted by people who would like to take part, anywhere in the world, on 21st October, 2017 within a 24 hour period, local time.

Call for Commissions: LightNight Liverpool 2017

LightNight, Liverpool's latenight arts festival, returns on Friday 19 May 2017.

The next instalment of one of Liverpool's biggest and best loved cultural events will be themed around the phenomenon of Time.

Open call for Short Film Submissions for Keswick Film Festival

 

The Keswick Film Festival is held annually in Keswick, Cumbria, England. The festival started in 1999, initially as part of the Keswick Film Club spring season. Both organisations are still dedicated to bringing the best of world cinema to audiences in and around Keswick. The Keswick Film Festival is seeking submissions for its Osprey Short Film Award for the next festival to be held from Thursday 16th to Sunday 19th February 2017.

This year we are accepting short films with a connection to Cumbria or Keswick Film Festival.

There are two categories of entry each with a 200 prize for the winning filmmaker.

  • An open category for all types and ages of film maker.
  • A young person category for film makers 18 years and under.
