Whether walking in a garden, planting your own, receiving them from friends or lovers, viewing delicious Renaissance flower paintings or walking through the flower market in DTLA, they bring joy and happiness to our internal and external worlds. Flowers are symbols of strength, longevity, grace, balance and abundance. We need more flowers right now. 

Shoebox Arts invites Southern California artists to submit work for this open call exhibition at Shoebox Projects in Los Angeles, our alternative art space supports artists through curator opportunities, residencies, representation and exhibitions.

Floral/ Special Edition

Collect Art is currently seeking writers and artists working in a diverse range of media, including painting, drawing, sculpture, ceramics, contemporary jewelry, textile, installation, illustration, mixed media, photography, collage, digital art, poems, and short stories.

This opportunity is open to individuals of all nationalities who are 18 years old and above.

The theme of the special edition welcomes interpretations related to flora, allowing artists to explore the concept in various ways.

Call For Entry: In Full Bloom

“In Full Bloom” is to be in a stage of optimum development; the state of flowering. For this open call, non-juried art exhibition, McCord Gallery & Cultural Center seeks to showcase works of art that include flowers or floral elements. Artists can include any interpretation that includes flowers as the subject of the work, or as a significant element within the overall work. Artists may submit up to 2 works for consideration for both an in-gallery exhibit and full virtual gallery of works. All submissions will be considered. McCord Gallery selections are based on creativity, quality of artistry and originality as represented in the images submitted. 8th Annual “Botanical & Floral” Online Art Competition

Light Space & Time Online Art Gallery announces an art call for the gallery’s 8th Annual “Botanical & Floral” Online Juried Art Competition for the month of July 2018.  The gallery invites all 2D and 3D artists (including photographers) from around the world to make online submissions for possible inclusion in the Gallery’s August 2018 online group art exhibition.
