Call for Art: The Good Neighbor

Description of Exhibition:

This exhibition explores the essence of community through a collective portrait of the people who shape our everyday life - our neighbors (whether next-door neighbors, studio neighbors, or those in your close proximity with whom you regularly interact). Inspired by the Czech proverb, “A good neighbor increases the value of your property”,the show considers how neighbors enrich our daily lives, fostering connection, feelings of support, and trust.

Conceptual Matters group exhibition

CON-TEMPORARY Art Observatorium is looking for artists to complete the selections of "Conceptual Matters", thematic group exhibition curated by Abramo ‘Tepes’ Montini that will be held at CTAO exhibition room in Lavagna, Italy.

Please e-mail your application urgently and don't wait the deadline, since we will close selections as soon as we fulfil the closed number of exhibiting artists showing quality and thematic coherence. Please understand that only pre-selected artists will get an answer.

Accepted artworks: bi-dimensional including video art, small objects.

OPEN CALL: FEEDBACK LOOP

Contracommon invites local emerging artists to apply for a monthly critique group resulting in a collaborative exhibition. Selected artists will meet at Contracommon to share their practices, and provide feedback culminating in a new work by each artist. Each artist is allowed approx. 40”-60” of wall space, and can fill the space vertically as much as the work requires. All media are welcome. Contracommon has some AV equipment available for artists’ use.

KEY DATES:

  • Artists notified: February 14th, 2025

  • Critique group duration: 6 meetings

    •   February 22nd, March 8th, April 5th, May 3rd, May 24th, June 14th

  • Installation: June 21st, 2025

England is a Forest

SUBMISSIONS ARE NOW OPEN for 2d artwork to be included in the upcoming exhibition ‘England is a Forest’ curated by Small Works Art Gallery at Sluice [Vernacular] Colchester, 2024. Please read the following for more details and submission guidelines.

Sluice [Vernacular] Colchester, 2024

Developed in partnership with We Are The Minories, Sluice [Vernacular] Colchester 2024 will feature exhibitions, performances, screenings and talks throughout Colchester town centre utilising cultural, municipal, and unoccupied commercial sites. Sluice 2024 is an aggregation of artist and curator-led and non-profit organisations and initiatives. The three day event will launch 13 June and take place 14,15,16 June 2024.

Guildford Open House 2023

Guildford House Gallery is calling for entries for a new art prize, the Guildford House Open.

The open call invites artists based in the UK to submit work in 2D or 3D, across a range of mediums, including painting, sculpture, drawing, photography, moving image, textile, print and mixed media.

With no specific theme, te competition aims to highlight outstanding artistic talent and showcase a breadth of contemporary art.

Up to 100 artworks will be selected for a group exhibition at Guildford House Gallery in Surrey, showcasing the best of contemporary art, within the historic setting of the gallery’s 17th century town house.

With multiple high definition screens laid out across three units, The Holy Art gallery is looking to present artwork in an alternative way, saving you the hassle from having to physically post your art whilst creating a captivating contemporary art space in the very heart of the city of East London.

 

Artists from all countries are welcome to submit their works for consideration. You are welcome to submit works in any medium. (painting, photography, printmaking, video art, installation, films, sculpting, mixed media, poems, illustration, etc). The theme of the exhibition is OPEN.
