Animating Our Stories | Indigenous Writing and Digital Illustration

Overview

This program will ignite Indigenous authors and artists focusing on young readers to delve into new ways of storytelling using digital illustration techniques. Through guidance from experienced faculty including recognized Indigenous authors, an illustrator, and a digital animator, participants will learn to lift a story off the page, texturize it, and animate elements of it to life.

Animating Our Stories is a space where storytellers, content producers, and digital media artists will collaborate to fuse modern presentation techniques with the art of storytelling. Participants will explore technology as they learn to illuminate the audience experience of their already vividly imagined stories.

Posting for new illustrator.

I have been working with an illustrator, but she having family issues.  Now find myself looking for new illustrator. I am looking for sample illustrations of kittens or cats.

It is about a kitten is abandoned at the side of the road at a driveway to a house. He has to deal with the weather, other animals living in the front yard, and finding food. His survival is up to him until humans of the house take him in.

It is based on a true story. I have lots photos and a video for a illustrator to work with be able to illustrate the characters in my book. I am looking for realistic illustrations not paintings, Japanese’s style, cartoons, or comic book.

The Blockchain Challenge

A blockchain is a continuously growing list of records (blocks), which are linked and secured using cryptography. Invented by Satoshi Nakamoto in 2008 to serve as the public transaction book of the cryptocurrency bitcoin, blockchains were designed to be secure. This makes them perfect for many uses like;  identity management, recording of intellectual property, transaction processing, food traceability, and even voting.

In our case we have used it to create a decentralised application in which creatives can show and monetize their work without intermediaries. Providing the capability for creators all around the world to be compensated for their intellectual property.
