"Landscapes" Call for Entry - Online Art Show

Theme- According to Webster Dictionary, the definition of landscape is: “Land´scape n. 1. A portion of land or territory which the eye can comprehend in a single view, including all the objects it contains. 2. A picture representing a scene by land or sea, actual or fancied, the chief subject being the general aspect of nature, as fields, hills, forests, water, etc. 3. The pictorial aspect of a country." It can be expressed many ways and we look forward to seeing your interpretation.

13th Annual Juried Art Show

Now a nation-wide open call, the Riverviews Artspace Annual Juried Art Show has been a tradition for 13 years. Artists of any media and subject matter, from any US State can enter 3 works for consideration to the chosen juror, Elsabé Dixon.

The show is open to artists living in the U.S. Artists may submit a maximum of three entries in any medium and concerning any subject matter. Work must be original and must have been completed in the last five years. 2D work must be ready to hang with the appropriate hardware. 3D work must come with display instructions. Artists are responsible for delivery and pickup of work and any associated cost. Deadline to enter is September 16th, 2021 at 5pm EST.

METC Sidewalk Art Gallery Show

The Museum of Early Trades & Crafts (METC) is inviting New Jersey artists to submit artwork for an exhibition held in the METC Education Annex in October 2021. Artists are invited to create original fine artwork on canvas material that will be provided. Each banner will be a one-of-a-kind work of art using any medium of the artist’s choice reflecting the theme of “Hope.”

The canvas banners are 24’ x 36’ and will be on display in the Museum’s Education Annex windows for a period of three months starting on October 27, 2021 and ending February 28, 2022. At the end of the exhibition, METC will host a reception where the banners will be sold and/or auctioned. The sales/auction price will be divided between the artist (60%) METC (40%).

National Sunrise & Sunset Show - The Rice Gallery of Fine Art

The Rice Gallery of Fine Art is now accepting submissions for our 5th Annual National Juried Show, THE MAGIC HOUR (Sunrises & Sunsets)!  

This year’s juried event will celebrate that very special time of day when the sun either rises from or sets on the horizon, commonly referred to as “The Magic Hour,” by exhibiting, promoting, and selling an exclusive survey of ORIGINAL SUNRISE & SUNSET LANDSCAPE PAINTINGS.  Our experienced jurors will select the finest original paintings of sunrises and sunsets from artists all over the country for an exclusive feature show at The Rice Gallery of Fine Art, opening Friday, February 7th, 2020. 
 

Open Orange 2019

Open Orange is an annual juried exhibit show open to NJ, NYC, and PA area artists, 18 and over, working in two-dimensional media.

It is our flagship art exhibition, designed to showcase both emerging and mid-career artists in Orange and the surrounding region. Each year, we invite independent jurors to select the work to be exhibited as well as the Best in Show winner.

Open Orange 2019 submission information:
Artists, 18 years and over, may submit 1, 2 or 3 works maximum. Jury selection is based on individual pieces of the artist's submission. Artwork size should be no larger than 36" by 36", oversized pieces will not be considered for the show.

This year’s juried event will celebrate the human form by exhibiting, promoting, and selling an exclusive survey of ORIGINAL PORTRAITS AND FIGURE PAINTINGS. Our experienced jurors will select the finest original paintings of human figures from artists all over the country for an exclusive feature show at The Rice Gallery of Fine Art, opening Friday, February 1st, 2019.
