Our dance and performing arts classes offer you the chance to learn to dance, play an instrument or sing. Whether you are interested in Bollywood, ballet, salsa, hand drumming or music, we can offer you a course that will get you started. You can also improve or maintain your skills through our improvers and intermediate courses. We can offer you what you need to maintain your standard or to improve and build on it. Whetheryou want to become an enthusiastic amateur or aspire to perform professionally, we can help you.

Intensive Dance Training

Do you want to engage into intensive dance training and even pursue further professional dance training and look to develop a dance related career? This might be the course for you. A one year dance programme which has been originally developed in partnership with Birkbeck, University of London. The programme is mainly centred on regular technique classes and creative workshops in Contemporary Dance and classical Ballet.
It aims to prepare individuals wishing to audition and progress onto Professional Dance Training courses and or just wanting to engage into more intensive training. This course offers particularly good structured training for people in full time work (Audition on Monday 9th January 2017 6-9pm).

There are so many opportunities and creative development activities out there. Do you knowabout them all?Come to this informal event and meet the writers organisations local to you. Hear New Writing South, Apples and Snakes, Myriad Editions, Survivors Poetry, Waterloo Press and Creative Future talk about what opportunities are on offer.There will be a chance to ask questions and talk individually to organisations staff.Come along and find out what they can do for you.

Bookbinding Workshop

Join us for this exciting workshop and learn how to make three different book structures: a concertina book, a 4-hole stab binding and a single section case binding. You will learn about basic bookbinding techniques, including folding, making endpapers, sewing, covering and casing in.

We will go through all the different tools and materials we will be using as well as the importance of grain direction. At the end of the class you will leave with three beautiful books (Perfect as handmade Christmas gifts!) and a handout with instructions to enable you to work on your own projects at home! This workshop is suitable for complete beginners or for those who need a refresher.
