2021 Mini Print-by-Mail Publication Program

2021 Mini Print-by-Mail Publication Program

Deadline: February 26, 2021

Tuckamore Press is seeking applications for our Mini Print-by-Mail Publication Program. We wish to partner with artists from across Canada and internationally to publish fresh ideas through an innovative combination of online collaboration and socially distanced print-by-mail. We invite professional visual artists, regardless of printmaking experience, to apply.

Our print-by-mail publication program pairs artists with a professional printer to produce an edition of intaglio prints. We supply the plates, paper, expert printing, guidance, postage fees and promote your work on our website and through social media. In exchange, the artist and Tuckamore Press split the edition 50/50.

All artists are welcome to apply; however, artists are responsible for supplying their own tools. While drypoint is the preferred means of platemaking, artists are welcome to use etching, aquatint or other means at their personal disposal. We are happy to provide technical and creative guidance along the way and to provide proofs as you develop your image. The artist is expected to dedicate the time needed to complete the work within two months of beginning the project. At the end of this period, Tuckamore Press will edition the print.
