Call for Solo and Group Exhibitions: 2026

The Crossing Arts Gallery in Brainerd, Minnesota is seeking proposals for solo and group exhibitions for 2026, including exhibitions specifically addressing diversity, equity, and inclusion. All art forms, traditional and nontraditional, will be considered. This opportunity is open to artists nationwide; however, artists based in Minnesota or the surrounding region will be given priority consideration. It is strongly preferred that exhibiting artists are able to be present for their event’s opening reception.  Artwork must not have been previously exhibited with The Crossing Arts. All submissions will be reviewed and juried by the Crossing Arts Gallery Committee, which is made up of working professional artists, educators, and art organization leaders in our local community.  

Call for Art: Myths & Magic Exhibition in Partnership with the Lakes Area Music Festival

The Crossing Arts Alliance, in partnership with the Lakes Area Music Festival, invites artists to submit original works for a special exhibition celebrating LAMF's 2025 season theme: Myths & Magic. We seek original artwork that captures the wonder, fantasy, and enchantment of fairy tales like Hänsel & Gretel and the supernatural essence of epic sagas like The Lord of the Rings. Selected works will be displayed at the Gichi-ziibi Center for the Arts from July 26 – August 17, 2025, alongside the festival’s world-class musical performances. The deadline to submit artwork is July 1, 2025

Please note that while this call is open nationwide in the USA, priority consideration will be given to artists based in Minnesota.

REQUEST FOR 2025 EXHIBITION PROPOSALS

Crossing Arts is currently accepting submissions for solo and group exhibitions, as well as proposals for exhibits that specifically address diversity, inclusion, and equity. We are seeking submissions to exhibit during 2025, please review the guidelines below before submitting your work. 

All artists living in the United States are encouraged to apply (a very strong and consistent body of work is essential).  Open to all traditional and non-traditional art forms and media. Artwork must not have been previously exhibited with  Crossing Arts. All submissions will be reviewed and juried by the Crossing Arts Gallery Committee, which is made up of  working professional artists, educators, and art organization leaders in our local community.  

Artist Residency

The Hideaway at Xanadu Island is a hidden gem located in Battle Lake, Minnesota. The old time resort is surrounded by crystal clear water and inspiring quiet. The residency offers free lodging in the newly renovated Tiny Cabin, access to all amenities on the island, and use of the newly renovated barn on site. Artists of all disciplines are encouraged to apply!
