MERCY HOUSING MAJOR JENKINS APTS ART PROJECT

Project Overview

Architreasures, an arts-based community development organization, along with our partner Mercy Housing, a comprehensive affordable housing provider, is seeking an artist(s) to develop interior artwork for the Major Jenkins Apartments, a supportive housing residence for individuals who have experienced or are at risk for homelessness. The Major Jenkins Apartments is located in Chicago’s Uptown neighborhood at 5012 N. Winthrop.

The overall goals of the Major Jenkins Art Project are to:

Create visually compelling and uplifting artwork that enlivens two common areas as part of the building’s renovation.

NYC Health + Hospitals Arts in Medicine

Summary:

NYC Health + Hospitals Arts in Medicine (AIM), with support from the Laurie M. Tisch Illumination Fund and the Mayor's Fund to Advance New York City, is seeking a Request for Qualifications (RFQ) for lead artists to work on the NYC Health + Hospitals Community Murals Project (CMP). Continuing the tradition established in the 1930s when the Works Progress Administration supported hundreds of murals across New York City’s public hospitals, the CMP will connect artists and local community members to re-imagine hospitals and promote greater neighborhood wellness.

Public Art RFQ – “Queen City Courts,” Basketball court artwork for the City of Marquette

The Marquette Public Art Commission (MPAC) is seeking a qualified artist (“vendor”) or artist team to design (“artwork”) and paint a site-specific artwork on the surface of the Hurley Park Basketball Court, Marquette, MI. The vendor will organize/lead any necessary workers or volunteers through the painting of the court surface with their artwork.

TEXAS ARTIST WANTED FOR PUBLIC MURAL

Artspace111 is thrilled to announce a call for Texas muralists to design and execute a mural on the exterior of Artspace111’s iconic 109 year old building. The North facing wall is passed by 24,000 drivers on Weatherford Street every day leaving Downtown Fort Worth. Eligible artists will be Texas based. Artists must be willing to meet contractual obligations and adhere to the budget and timeline. One artist or artist team will be selected.

Identified Mural Area Description:

SR3 Sealife Response, Rehabilitation, and Research at the Des Moines Marina Fencing Artwork

The Des Moines Arts Commission is looking for an artist to create imagery for the new fencing that surround the location of SR3 Sealife Response, Rehabilitation, and Research located on the Des Moines Marina Floor. 

 

Opportunity

SR3 is a marine wildlife hospital that will provide response and rehabilitation for sick or injured marine animals. This will be the first facility of its kind in the Pacific Northwest, putting Des Moines on the front lines of rescuing and protecting our incredible marine wildlife!
