Artist Residency 2016, The Crypt Gallery/ St Pancras Church

Crypt Gallery Residency 2016

St Pancras Church is opening up the Crypt Gallery for the final time this year for a residency opportunity. We are looking for artists to use this inspiring space in a fabulous central London location to create work in any medium and any style, practitioners who will respond to the space in interesting and engaging ways.

You must be able to open up the gallery for a few hours each day to the public- these hours ideally will be the same each day and can be negotiated according to your plans and schedule. The work you make must also be flexible to allow for any last minute bookings in the space.

The dates for residency are 17-22 December

Please email us with a simple work in progress proposal- (things may change once you are in the space, but we would like some idea of what you might like to do), examples of previous work and your CV. Please use the subject 'Crypt Residency December 2016':

Solstice Shorts Festival: Poetry

The Solstice Shorts Festival celebrates the winter Solstice, (21st December, the shortest day of the year) and Short Story Day with Time themed short stories, poems and music.

This year the theme is SHORTEST DAY. Writers and musicians were asked to provide work to theme and then were invited to respond to each other. This years Shortest Day theme mirrors last years Longest Night and keeps it short with flash fiction and poetry and song.

In addition to the all-new poetry and fiction, and the folk songs, we have two newly written songs with music supplied in response to the words, one set of new words set to a traditional tune, and a traditional tune for a story too.

We start at on Creek Road, at 6pm; with hosting and and reading poetry by

Refreshments will be available for a donation, you are (VERY) welcome to make donations towards our costs.

At 7pm a Wassail procession led by Vocal Chords Choir collects the audience from Made in Greenwich and escorts them to West Greenwich Library.
