Kosmoss Gallery is proud to announce an Open Call for young residents of Thamesmead, The Town of Tomorrow. We are inviting individuals and groups to contemplate their reality and come up with an original online project. The winner will receive a £500 grant towards the artwork (including artist fee), a separate budget for physical artworks and generous conceptual and technical support from the curator - Dominika Kieruzel. W.I.P. ONLINE WORKSHOPS

WIP online workshops presents a series of online workshops for emerging artists, where the needs of the participating artist are explored in a one on one format. Topics such as the analysis of theoretical and conceptual development of the work, portfolio design, artist statement, presentation of projects for grants, residencies, art competitions, etc ... or any other interest, the workshop will adapt to the personal interests of the participants.

Virtual Residency WEEKENDS – Together, separately

The virtual residency is a gathering of artists who work in sync, meet to talk and crit, and support one another and use a change in pace to think differently about their creative practice.

This session of the Virtual Residency happens over three weekends – Saturday and Sunday 7&8 /  14&15  /  21&22  November 2020

The residency is mixed discipline. The program welcomes, but is not limited to:
visual artists, conceptual artists, video artists, writers, poets, multidisciplinary artists, performance artists, installation artists, photographers

Zeitgeist 2020

Zeit·geist/'tsit?gist,'zit?gist/ Noun: The defining spirit or mood of a particular period of history as shown by the ideas and beliefs of the time. "The story captured the zeitgeist of the year 2020." 2020 has been a year of great change and upheaval. We are looking for works that give us a glimpse into the events of 2020, whether they are reactions to events from a global, national, regional, or even individual scale. Please share with us your artistic reflections on this significant year thus far as this show will visually capture the defining spirit and mood of 2020. This will be a juried show that will run from 2 Oct - Dec 18 and will have a best in show prize of $500!

Applications are open for Artists on WindowSight (which are completely free).

WindowSight is exclusive to active professional visual artists (photographers, illustrators, painters, video and digital artists, Motion Graphic Artists…).

We aim to provide an alternative income that can ease and increase the artists’ recognition as professionals and overall, enhance quality in the arts.

In order to apply we will require links to your work, our team will validate that you are active as an artist and that you have a demonstrable professional career.
