We are excited to announce an open call for artists to submit their work for consideration in our upcoming SUMMER SHOW. We welcome submissions from London based artists of all backgrounds, mediums and experience levels; including painting, photography, prints and illustration. The theme of this exhibition/event is open, giving you the freedom to submit any work up to an A3 and A2 size.

There is no charge to submit your application, please feel free to share your work with us.

If selected to participate in the show, we ask for a donation of £125 per artist - not per artwork - as long as it doesn’t exceed the size of an A3 or A2. All donations go towards operational activities for the exhibition.

Photobook Award 2023

As part of the 33rd edition of Encontros da Imagem - International Photography and Visual Arts festival, the open call for the Photobook Award EI 2023 is now open. This competition is juried by editors, publishers and other professionals in the publishing industry.

Aware that photography books have gained, in recent years, a leading role in the promotion of photography projects through creative processes of storytelling, it's Encontros da Imagem intention to promote independent authors as well as their body of work. Since 2014, the festival has strove to be a privileged channel for photobook dissemination and promotion, carrying out the Photobook Award 2023, inviting all interested artists to apply for the prize with their photobook.

Discovery Awards

Essay for the Future: Considering the present as we imagine and build the future together.

For the 33rd edition of Encontros da Imagem, we wish to explore the challenges that the world continues to experience and keep up the necessary conversations on topics such as representation, inclusion, environmental sustainability, the politics of everyday life, and the power of change held by social movements. There is an urgent need to stop and listen. While democracy weakens and extremists gain ground in the frenzy of both virtual and real life, we wish to take a step back and think of new forms of organization, ways of life, and creation.

Sprouting Spaces 2023

Understanding that the most critical and limiting component in an artist’s career is being able to afford space to create, Clementina Arts Foundation started a program to help artists land studio space in commercial vacancies—for free.

These spaces help the landlord through awareness of the location, involve the surrounding community with an open door policy, and provide emerging/mid-career artists with much-needed space to create.

SPACE Open Call (FREE)

AVE22 MetaGallery would likes to invite artists to take part in the “Space” open call.

OVERVIEW

April 12, 1961 - the date when Yury Gagarin became the first human to journey into outer space . To many people, many generations this flight was quite symbolic as it showed that dreams could come true. The dream to fly, fly high, higher than birds, than anything on our planet.

We would like to invite you to share your artworks dedicated to space. Planets, stars, galaxies - real and imaginary. Starships, futuristic cities, aliens - whatever we could dream of - again, real and imaginary.
