We are delighted to share that Lyme Art Association, our historic arts organization dedicated to fostering the visual arts in Old Lyme, Connecticut, is transitioning to a digital submission process for all juried exhibitions. Founded in 1914 by members of the Old Lyme Art Colony, the Lyme Art Association remains committed to supporting and showcasing artists through our robust annual exhibition schedule.

International Competition for Young Artists KARTINA MIRA

The International Competition for Young Artists is a unique opportunity for young talents to express themselves and contribute to the cultural dialog. The project will bring together artists from different countries and will help to conceptualize and convey the values of their people through art.

For young artists from around the world, it is a space for:

  • cultural exchange
  • strengthening traditions academic education
  • self-actualization and participation in large-scale projects

The competition is designed to become a bridge between tradition and modernity, past and future, creating a space for cultural exchange and interaction. Young artists will present their works on significant social, cultural and philosophical subjects.

This exhibition is open theme and all local, national, and international artists are encouraged to apply. Submissions for this show can be representational or abstract using any textures, patterns, shapes of forms.

Acceptable mediums include Acrylic, Egg Tempra Paint, Gouache, Oil, Watercolor, or any form of Paint.

NEOTERIC ABSTRACT XIII

Neoteric Abstract is a thematic exhibition dedicated to abstract art that is open for entry to all artists working in any media. The exhibition will be held at the Limner Gallery, April 10  - May 3, 2025 and is open to all forms of abstraction, from the geometric to the lyrical, from the precise to the raw. The entry deadline is January 31, 2025.

I'D Rather : Critical Review Catalogue Publication & Online Exhibit (No Fees)

No application, publication, or participation fees. No fees.

Up to six best in show artists will have their work published in the catalogue with detailed critical essays written by the curator. Artists participating in the online exhibit will have two works of art on display and a link to their artist website. Artists keep 100% sales of their work.
