Nine-month Studio + Paid Teaching Residency

Munson’s Artists-in-Residence program (AIR) is an education-based residency that allows one emerging artist to live, work, and teach on the Munson and Pratt Munson College of Art & Design campus in Utica, New York for one academic year.

The AIR program is designed for emerging artists or recent visual arts MFA graduates interested in working in art education in community arts and college curricula while receiving support to develop a vibrant, self-directed studio practice. A successful AIR applicant works in Drawing and/or Painting within the traditional and/or expanded field. A mastery of 2D foundation principles is desired.

Gallery Ring THE SPRING COUNTDOWN SHOW Online Art Contest

Gallery Ring announces an online contest and exhibition which anticipates and celebrates the arrival of Spring! One artwork will be selected and revealed every day starting March 1st until March 19th, 2024 ending in a group show of 19 artworks.

For the first 12 days, the official selections will be revealed in random order.  The following and remaining 7 days will be reserved for the top artworks, which will count down from 7th place to the 1st place winner and the first day of Spring: March 19th. Artworks with a bit of Spring in them are preferred. The deadline to submit work is Thursday, February 29th 2024.  The fee is $20 US for 1-3 artworks.

The best in show artists will have their work published with a critical review in our Artist Feature catalogue. Artists participating in our online exhibit will .have 2 works of art on display and links to their website and social media. Artists keep 100% sales of their work.

Jackson's Art Prize 2024

Open to fine artists working in painting, drawing, and printmaking, the competition welcomes entries from artists of all ages, abilities, and subject matter. 

There are twenty awards to be won, with a range of prizes which include up to £5,000 in cash, up to £1,000 of art materials provided by notable brands, and inclusion in two exhibitions at Affordable Art Fair and Bankside Gallery in London, UK.

This year’s competition features new prizes, award sponsors, two exhibitions, and an incredible Guest Judging panel featuring Joey Yu, Matthew Burrows MBE, Alayo Akinkugbe, Charlotte Sorapure, Hugo Barclay, and Melissa Ling.

OPEN Call Round 59 April - June 2024

 

Since 2007 "PILOTENKUECHE" is an international art program based in Germany's new art capital Leipzig. The independent project is run by artists to support and empower artists.

 

The International Art Program invites 12 Artists from around the world for each round, to work together in our 465m² communally used studio space and realize one or exhibitions during their stay. The studio is located in a romantic, remodeled old barbed wire factory. With its exposed bricks large windows, high ceiling, and above all underfloor heating, this environment is inspiring. Our concept strives to create a communal space that can lead to experimental collaboration and discourse between participants, as well as with the greater Leipzig community.
