CPR's Artist-in-Residence Open Call 2020

CPR - Center for Performance Research’s Artist-in-Residence (AiR) program seeks to support a wide range of artists from emerging choreographers to established companies, working within the various aspects of dance and performance. Since its inception in 2012, with the generous support of The Andrew W. Mellon Foundation, CPR’s AiR Program has provided up to 15 artists per year (selected by invitation) with 100 hours of deeply subsidized rehearsal hours at advanced booking. In an effort to create a more inclusive and equitable selection process, we are piloting an open call application by a peer artist committee this year. The committee will review applications, and through a scoring and discussion process, select CPR’s AiRs for 2020.

2nd Circus Residency: The smallest circus convention in Brazil

The House of Sustainable Arts opens its doors for the Second Circus Residency in the style of "the smallest Circus Convention". We offer 5 days of artistic living and cultural exchange through workshops, classes, community shows and theatrical performances. The residency is an intimate meeting of circus artists in the many artistic languages of clowning, juggling, aerial arts, dance, sound and lighting, spoken word and musical performance. This annual residency is occurring for the second time from September 11-15, 2019 in the historic neighborhood of Dois de Julho, Salvador, Brazil. We invite all artists and collectives who identify with the Circus community to present a proposal for a workshop or an act to present during the residency.

Greywood Arts is delighted to introduce Unexpected Spaces, a new residency opportunity for artists with a public art practice. This one-month residency offers accommodation, workspace and materials to a visual or performing artist interested in exploring a public art project in the rural East Cork Village of Killeagh.
