PRIMARY COLORS 2016 - NYC4PA INTERNATIONAL CALL FOR ENTRY

The New York Center for Photographic Arts (NYC4PA) invites photographers world-wide to submit images using any photographic process (print, image transfer, emulsion transfer, encaustic, black and white, etc.). Winners will receive $3,000 in cash awards, be featured in a New York Gallery Exhibition, on the NYC4PA Online Gallery and in the MACRO 2015 catalog. The Grand Prize winning image will be posted on the NYC4PA home page.

We are very excited that Winners and Juror’s Selections will have the opportunity to participate in a gallery show, April 18 – 29, 2017 at the JADITE GALLERY in the exciting Hell’s Kitchen area in Manhattan.

In Light Of, Photography Competition

The phrase "in light of" means to take into account or consideration. This contest asks photographers to think about how light is seen and used in the photographic process. Ambient, dramatic, directional, movement can make or break capturing a moment or object. Show us your best use of light!

Exhibition Dates: Sept 30 - Oct 13, 2016

Online Opening: 10 am MST, Sept 30, 2016

A group exhibition of the top finalists will be held in our online gallery.

Entry Fee:

(1-3 images $20) ; (4-5 images $30)

Call for Artists: "Borders" exhibition

New York Photography Diary is going to London, and we’re looking for photographers to submit their work on the theme of “Borders,” to be exhibited at Carmel by the Green Gallery in East London.

Borders can encompass the geographical outline of a country, or the edges of a photo frame. What they permit and what they exclude speaks volumes about how we define ourselves as individuals, communities, and nations. Our changing relationship to the socio-political, economic, and cultural climate of a particular time and place is reflected in such shifting boundaries. Borders are far from an arbitrary means of separation; for better or worse, they allow us to (re)establish a sense of self.

Land - Escapes, Photography Competition

Giving yourself permission to vacate is half the battle, taking the first step to explore is the other. BBG is calling on photographers to offer a virtual tour of Land-Escapes. This photo exhibition will step into the peaceful solitude of the earth - allowing viewers to momentarily slip into a pool of serenity. All photographic processes are welcome.
