Emerging Writers Residency: Poetry 2023

Overview
This two-week writing program supports new writers in poetry at varying levels of accomplishment, from not-yet-published writers to those with one published book. In this workshop-based residency, you will work closely with our faculty, Suzanne Zelazo, Sharanpal Ruprai, and professional guest Helen Hajnoczky, to expand your practice and focus on improving writing skills.

Woman Scream 2023 Call for Submissions for Women Poetry ( Anthology )

Woman Scream Festival, as part of the institutions that collaborate with the initiatives of Action Coalitions for Generation Equality by UN Women, opens its second international call for submission for female poetry. The Woman Scream (Grito de Mujer®) cause celebrates its 13th anniversary of creation since 2011, for this reason, we will be creating a special poetry anthology under the theme “Mother of the Earth”. A compilation of poetry in tribute to farmland women and their rights and an homage to the hundreds of women activists who have raised their voices, suffered abuse or lost their lives standing up for environmental rights.

Call for Poets!

In recognition of the 27th anniversary of National Poetry Month in April 2023, Bethany Arts Community (BAC) in Ossining, NY is offering its third annual residency focused on poetry.

Bethany Arts Community designs its residencies to allow artists an opportunity to enjoy an environment where artists from different disciplines can work near each other, creating opportunities for cross-pollination, collaboration, and connection. Residents will find both solitude and community with a small cohort of other poets and artists sharing the residency.

Call for Poets | D31 Art Gallery Presents, 'The Festival of Love'

After last years success, D31 Art Gallery are offering an opportunity for poets to perform their poetry at our annual 'Festival of Love'. We are looking for both New and Experienced poets to perform. We ask for poems to be inspired by the theme of 'Love', whether that be romantic love, family love or even love between friends.

You look up at the sky and wonder what's beyond. Perhaps, you are speaking to something greater. Maybe, you're simply wondering what is behind the clouds. Either way, you see something beyond the plane of your reality. You see something in your mind. That's where we want you to be.

Wonder can also be a feeling of surprise mingled with admiration, caused by something beautiful, unexpected, unfamiliar, or inexplicable. desire or be curious to know something or a feeling doubt. What is something that you wonder?
 

SUBMISSIONS CALL - Impostor: A Poetry Journal for Issue 2.3 - Ekphrastic poetry

This issue will exclusively feature ekphrastic poetry. We're seeking submissions based on works of art—this includes any discipline and any form of media (examples include but are not limited to: visual art, dance, music, video games, etc.).
