Call for Chapbook Manuscripts (Prose, Poetry, Art)

The A3 Press is looking for new chapbook submissions.

Do you have a series of poems or short stories, or a long story that can be spread out over several pages? Maybe a short play in 12 parts or scenes, or even 12 very short plays? Do you have a combination of drawings and short stories? Poems and photographs? Maybe 12 drawings or photographs without text that would fit into our A3 map-fold format?

The A3 Press is a place for work that might struggle to find a traditional home, work that's lyrical and intense, a bit weird, perhaps, hybrid, experimental. We like work that is urgent, that says something about what it's like to be alive at this point in history.

The Festival Les Instants Vidéo is an event dedicated to video art and electronic poetry with its multiple forms, monobands, installations, performances, multimedia...

In 1969, Neil Armstrong setthe firstmankind foot on the moon. The same year, Nam June Paik created a bra with two tiny TV sets featuring this remarkable event.Charlotte Moorman wore it overherbare breast as she played her cello : TV Bra for Living sculptures. The event goteven more remarkable. Video art created a constellation connecting erotism, technology and thecosmos. In 2019, thousands of women, men and children (thousands of Neil Armstrong) are not allowed to set foot on the ground. They are wrecked at sea aboard their miniature Apollo 11. The shrinking of the planet andhumans’dreams.

Carrying Across - Crossing Disciplines as a Form of "Translation"

For Interim's July issue, we are seeking work that crosses disciplines in the form of "translation." The origin of the word translate means "to carry across." While translation usually occurs across languages, we are looking specifically for work that is carried across one art form to the other, or work that seeks to create new forms altogether. Perhaps you've created dance informed by the structure of a particular sonnet, or you've taken a famous dance or performance art piece you found inspiring and translated its rhythm, structure, and images into a poem. We are looking for this kind of challenging work.

Currently looking for artists from all mediums who are willing to be filmed doing what they love, whether it's singing, dancing, acting, poetry, speed painting, etc. Anything! Plz send a message with your name and medium if interested. We look foward to creating with you :)
