Warehouse Art School

Established in 2013 this successful and innovative one day per week course has been created to fill an ever-increasing need for artists to further their practice outside of formal education. The Warehouse Art School (WAS) is a non-accredited course run by artists for artists and offers an affordable alternative to formal Higher Education courses.

WAS provides a stimulating environment where students are encouraged to take risks in their work and are supported in their continuing professional development through a programme of critical and practical teaching, delivered through tutorials, projects, workshops, collaboration, networking and talks.

hARTslane Presents: Making a Buck Without Selling Out

This six-week online course supports visual artists in developing, revisiting or rethinking their professional practice on their own terms. Whether you’re starting out, returning to your practice, or planning your next steps, Making a Buck Without Selling Out offers a critical and supportive space to build momentum and develop strategies rooted in your values.

Together we’ll explore how to define success for yourself—beyond visibility metrics or institutional recognition. We’ll look at ways to communicate your practice, apply for funding, find or create opportunities, and sustain your work without reshaping it to fit the market. We’ll also consider how to care for your practice (and yourself), in a system that demands constant productivity.
