One program will start in July and the other one in September, 2023.

Multidisciplinary Art Residency

Multidisciplinary Art, Essaouira, Morocco

Calling all artists to immerse themselves in the vibrant culture and history of Essaouira at Waxaw artist residency. We support and facilitate the professional development of cultural practitioners at all levels of their careers, from emerging to established artists.

The art residency is open from May to July 2023.

Residency in Colombia -May 2023

ArteSumapaz is a non-profit arts and culture center located on a magical piece of terrain in the Andean mountains, about three hours outside Bogotá. The artist residency program (AIR) is designed for visual artists, musicians, writers, architects, clay artists, performers, and other makers. It is a self-directed residency, where artists have full access to studio spaces of all kinds (visual art, music, movement, writing, etc.) throughout the vast and beautiful campus. Artists are given the space, freedom, and encouragement to explore and experiment with their own work. The artists are welcome to participate in weekly “open critique” sessions (group discussions about their work), to share workshops or exhibitions.

for WRITING at CAN SERRAT

This open call invites all themes and types of writing and research. Selected residents will have time and space to work on their projects while they are in residence at Can Serrat.

The jury has 3 main criteria for evaluating the applications:

Singularity of the proposal.
Relevance the proposal has in relation to the Can Serrat program/context and to the notion of community.
The feasibility and sustainability of the project.

ARCUS Project 2023 IBARAKI Artist-in-Residence Program

The program particularly emphasizes research-based practices and presents the initial results of these processes at open studios. It welcomes ideas for artworks and projects that develop out of encounters with people, the land, and culture, and aspire to form critical spaces that are open and international.

August 30 through December 7, 2023 (100 days)
