Art by the Foot

Art by the Foot is an annual juried art show of small works, measuring 12in or smaller.  These small works are the perfect addition to or start to your art collection.  100 works of art in various media will be accepted.

Artists must be 18 years of age or older and reside in Wisconsin, Michigan, Minnesota, Illinois, and Iowa to be eligible to enter the competition.

Public Sculpture Project

Fredericksburg, VA Deadline: August 25, 2025

Juried Outdoor Sculpture Competition. Three locations around the City of Fredericksburg, VA have been selected for the display of public sculpture from October, 2025 to September, 2026.  Liability insurance provided.  We have increased our stipend to $2500.  for each site. Artist responsible for delivery and removal.  Deadline for submission of existing or proposed work is August 25. Three submissions maximum. No entry fee. Works over six feet in height given preference. 

 

A Still Small Voice 4U: The 2025 Juried Art Show

Submit your work for the August 2025 Juried Art Show, a collaboration with A Still Small Voice 4U.

The theme for this year’s show comes from the writing and activism of Phil Ochs.

Works in all media are invited and should reflect the theme: Many hands built this land.

Submissions, including medium, title and dimensions, can be emailed in JPEG or PDF format. Please submit by June 15.

No more than two submissions will be accepted. There is no fee.

Prizes for first place, second place, third place and “people’s choice” are $300, $200, $100 and $100, respectively.

A reception will take place Aug. 2 from 1 to 3 p.m.

International Sculpture Conference Call for Panels - Dallas 2025

The International Sculpture Center invites you to submit a panel proposal for the 31st International Sculpture Conference, taking place in Dallas, TX from October 23-26, 2025. The ISC is seeking a diverse and comprehensive program, covering topics relevant to sculpture today. We welcome any topics in contemporary sculpture that show diverse perspectives from around the world on the current state of the art community. 

Dirty Dishes

The Art Vacancy (TAV) invites artists to submit proposals for Dirty Dishes, a conceptual art installation that delves into themes of domestic labor, emotional dynamics in modern day relationships, and interpersonal communication.​

Project Concept: The exhibition will feature a large-scale sculpture depicting a towering pile of dirty dishes, symbolizing the often-overlooked aspects of domestic labor and the emotional undercurrents present in shared living spaces. The installation aims to prompt dialogue about empathy, responsibility, and the nuances of partnership.

NOoSPHERE Arts Residency Award & Site Specific Art Installation

NOoSPHERE Arts’ Residency Award @ Kingsland Wildflowers is an annual open-call contest for unique, site-specific installations created by local artists for our green rooftops. Typically, the winning proposal is displayed on the Upper Meadow of the Kingsland Wildflowers rooftop community center throughout the outdoor season. The program aims to showcase non-intrusive, sustainable artwork that highlights our one-of-a-kind surroundings and encourages reflection on the environment and the mission and vision of the WE ARE NATURE series.
