2023 Old Town Keller Rotating Sculpture Call for Art

PROJECT DESCRIPTION
The Keller Public Arts Board is seeking six sculptures that are appropriate for public viewing and support the family friendly atmosphere of the City of Keller. Sculptures remain under the artist’s ownership and are loaned to the exhibit for a two-year period. All sculptures must be “family appropriate” and pose no risk to public safety; no sexual, bloody or violent content shall be accepted. Sculptures must be made of materials that can withstand the harsh Texas weather and require no maintenance by the City of Keller. Pieces sold while on display may be removed but the artist must replace the sold artwork with a different sculpture, with approval by the Board, within 60 days of removal of the sold piece.

Laura Ziegler Scholarship

The Laura Ziegler Scholarship is for an emerging sculptor. No age limit.

Applicants must be citizens of or residents in the United States with a social security number.

The scholarship covers most of the expenses associated with attending the National Sculpture Society's Celebration in June 2023.

2023 Public Arts Request for Proposals

The Town of Pagosa Springs in collaboration with the Pagosa Springs Arts Council, is commissioning an art piece for a public sculpture. This public sculpture would become the latest installation of public art, as part of the Town’s Public Arts Plan (mypagosa.org/pagosa-public-arts-program).

The commissioning of a unique public sculpture is being sought by the Town of Pagosa Springs to be in the Pagosa “uptown” area, in a highly visible location. Uptown Pagosa Springs does not have Town-owned public space and a trail segment was recently completed adjacent to the sculpture site. This site would serve a large portion of the population including through-visitors as well as locals.
