Requirements for this solo show opportunity:

This specific solo show opportunity occurs during our Second National Exhibition of Collage and Assemblage in our Main Gallery: Merged II. 

This opportunity is open to functional, non-functional, 2D, 3D, fine art, and fine craft in all mediums. The Vault can fit between 12 - 15 pieces depending on the sizes.

We also have an open call to artists for the exhibition in our Main Gallery during this time frame, Merged II: D'Art's Second National Exhibition of Collage and Assemblage. This is a juried national exhibition. Submit here:


The Vault: 

The Vault is located in the d’Art Center’s new location in the NEON District. This one hundred and thirty two square foot exhibition space is a historical bank vault, and gives artists an opportunity to exhibit their work in a unique space in the heart of Norfolk Arts District (The NEON District). All styles and aesthetics are considered. D’Art Center will market the show through their social media and patron base, as well as provide invitational postcards/fliers. Commission on sales is 60% Artist, and 40% d’Art Center for juried shows in The Vault.

The Untitled Space invites artists to apply for a Solo Exhibition to take place at the gallery in Tribeca, New York in 2021. 

The exhibition will be presented as an in-person solo show, and will additionally include an online viewing room of the exhibition on our website, online exclusive of the exhibition on Artsy, as well as special coverage of the exhibition on a variety of media outlets including The Untitled Magazine among others. The exhibition will additionally include an exhibit catalog which will be cross-promoted online on a variety of publishing platforms, as well as coverage on our social media channels. 

The Untitled Space is looking for an artist with an exceptional body of work that has not been previously exhibited for this unique opportunity. The exhibit will be curated by gallery director Indira Cesarine who will work directly with the artist to produce the exhibition as well as promote it via print and online media. Artists who submit may also be considered for future opportunities with The Untitled Space gallery such as art fairs, group shows, online solo shows, and exclusives. 

Artists should have an established exhibition track record and/or educational focus in studio art. The exhibit proposal should include new work which will premiere with the exhibition. All ages, genders, and mediums will be considered. The recipient of the solo exhibition will additionally be represented by The Untitled Space gallery for a minimum of 6 months in support of the exhibition.


The Untitled Space is an art gallery located in Tribeca, New York in a landmark building on Lispenard Street. Founded in 2015, the gallery features exhibits of emerging and established contemporary artists exploring conceptual framework and boundary-pushing ideology through mediums of painting, sculpture, printmaking, photography, video, and performance art. The gallery is committing to exploring new ideas vis-à-vis traditional and new mediums and highlights a program of women in art as well as special events aligned with our creative vision.


Indira Cesarine’s curatorial for The Untitled Space gallery includes includes solo shows for artists Sarah Maple, Fahren Feingold, Jessica Lichtenstein, Rebecca Leveille, Alison Jackson, Kat Toronto aka Miss Meatface, Katie Commodore, Jeanette Hayes, Tom Smith, Loren Erdrich, Grace Graupe-Pillard and Robin Tewes, as well as group shows "BODY BEAUTIFUL", “IRL: Investigating Reality”, "EDEN" and "(HOTEL) XX" at SPRING/BREAK Art Show; ”SECRET GARDEN”, “SHE INSPIRES,” and internationally-celebrated group shows “UPRISE/ANGRY WOMEN” and “ONE YEAR OF RESISTANCE” responding to the political climate in America, as well as numerous other critically-acclaimed exhibitions.

• An application is required for all artists to be considered. No exceptions. 
• We do not accept walk-ins or any unsolicited artwork emailed or shipped by mail.
• Artists should have a strong exhibition track record and/or educational focus in studio art.
• Works can be figurative or abstract and of any medium. 
• Artists must submit a minimum of 5 digital images of artwork (jpeg format) for consideration. This may also include renderings of proposed works to be created for the exhibition, although the majority of works should be existing, completed works. Works submitted must be available for exhibition and for sale.

Solo Exhibitions *Rolling Deadline*




Cold Coffee Gallery launched on 4.1.20 in response to a global need for virtual creative spaces. Cold Coffee's goal is to create a unique and immersive curated gallery experience from the comfort of your own screen. Cold Coffee aims to support emerging and mid-career artists as well as Femmes, POC, and LGBT+ artists as well as connect them with art lovers and buyers alike.

Currently, Cold Coffee Gallery is accepting submissions for Solo Shows and 2 Exhibitions.

Our first Exhibition, "Working Title: Art Before Quarantine" will launch along with the website 4.1.20. A solo show TBD will also launch this date. These applications will need to be submitted by 3.31.20.

Our Second Exhibition, title TBD, will feature work created during, after, and as a response to COVID-19 and Quarantine. This deadline is 4.15.20.

Submission Guidelines

Deadlines are noted following the Show title on the next page. There will be ONE (1) Solo Show running at a time as well as TWO (2) curated group shows.
–Solo Shows have a rolling deadline. Artists featured in the Solo Show may not be featured in any concurrent group shows.
Each Solo Show is booked for a month-long run from the 5th of the month to the following month's 4th. One application per Solo Artist per month will be considered. Accepted Solo artists may not apply again for a term of one year.
–Curated Group Shows will have a run time of THREE (3) Months or longer, with dates to be determined at the time of acceptance. Any submissions received after a deadline will be considered as needed on a first-come, first-serve basis. Applications submitted after the deadline are not guaranteed consideration.

Proposals are only necessary for Solo Show consideration. Proposals may include written descriptions and/or diagrams.
Proposals will only be accepted electronically using our online form. Materials sent by mail, in person, or by phone will not be considered. All proposals must take into consideration the nature of our virtual gallery and mission statement.

Images submitted should be photographed on white background and color balanced.
– 1900px max
– 12 MB max file size
– Accepted file types: png, jpg, jpeg, gif, svg
– Videos and audio also accepted on submission form, additional upload will be required for presentation.

We welcome submissions from all artists in all mediums regardless of age, race, sex, gender, or career level. However, preference will be given to emerging and mid-career artists. Femmes, POC, LGBT+, and disabled artists are encouraged to apply.
– Artists should be at least 18 years old.
– Student artists are welcome to apply.

Work which sells will be sold through Cold Coffee Gallery's point of sale. Cold Coffee Gallery will take a 10% commission for works priced under $70 and a 20% commission for works priced $70 or over.
All works will be displayed in our archive as NFS after the end of each exhibition. Exhibited work must be sold through Cold Coffee Gallery within ten (10) days of the end of the exhibition.
–Artists may not sell or distribute prints of exhibited works outside of Cold Coffee Gallery at any point during exhibition or within ten (10) days of the end of the exhibition.
–Artist will be responsible for the shipping/transportation of sold work to the Purchaser. Purchaser will be responsible for the cost of shipping/transportation/applicable insurance. Purchaser will sign the contract provided by Cold Coffee Gallery at time of purchase agreeing to this process. Artist will receive notification of sale immediately. Artist will receive payment from Cold Coffee Gallery upon Purchaser's receipt of all purchased work.
–Original "Not For Sale" (NFS) work and prints/reproductions will be accepted on a case by case basis.

All submission fees will go directly towards the upkeep, marketing, and maintenance of the website. All submission fees must be paid to Cold Coffee Gallery through Paypal (PayPal.Me/ColdCoffeeGallery). Submissions will not be reviewed until submission fees are received unless otherwise noted.

–Curated Group Shows: $5
–Fee Waivers: Artists who cannot afford submission fees are still encouraged to apply. Please e-mail with the subject line: "FEE WAIVER [full name as it appears on submission]" prior to submission with a brief note summarizing your financial situation.

A consignment contract will be signed by the artist and a representative of Cold Coffee Gallery upon acceptance of work.

Artists working in all media are encouraged to apply for our upcoming open call. Artists will be given a one-month solo exhibition at our new projects space in central PA. Artists will be awarded a $500 honorarium for exhibition related expenses, shipping, and travel. We will provide assistance for an opening reception for the exhibition.
