Call for Art : Tapestry Gallery

 "Tapestry," an exhibition spotlighting how women and gender expansive individuals globally utilize textiles, embroidery, and clothing for resistance and cultural preservation. Seeking submissions from women/non-binary artists aged 15-35. Artworks of any medium accepted, including previous works or proposals for site-specific pieces. 

Selected pieces will be showcased in a pop-up gallery in NYC, with shipping and installation support provided as needed.

Yeiser Art Center is now accepting entries for the FANTASTIC FIBERS 2023 international juried exhibition. One of Yeiser Art Center’s most engaging and innovative international exhibitions, FANTASTIC FIBERS seeks to showcase a wide range of outstanding contemporary works related to the fiber medium.

outside outside objects is a space for emerging and early career designers to show their work, discuss their process and collaborate.

outside outside objects is an independent, artist-run print publication and collective. We publish work by emerging and early career designers and create community within the design realm through group critiques and collaboration. Through our platform, we establish connections between designers and promote their work.

Screen Printed Fabrics

A full day workshop on how to create your very own screen printed fabrics and turn them into a festive Christmas stocking.

The morning will be spent with Sarah practicing the art of paper stencil screen printing onto fabrics. After a well earned lunch break James will show you how to take your new fabrics and turn them into a Christmas stocking.

All materials will be provided, but please bring an apron! The inks don't come out of clothes.

The exhibition “Textile Thinking” highlights the vibrant and provocative conversations that the faculty and students of the School of Design participate in while interrogating textiles. The field of textiles is a wellspring of inspiration to both the fashion, product and interior design program’s material explorations and theoretical thinking.

In honor of New York Textile Month, the Textile Arts Center is hosting a collection of exhibitions to highlight the richness of contemporary textiles. Reflecting a diversity of material and technique, "Interlaced" features site-specific installation as well as sculpture, collage, weaving, knitting and embroidery.
