Call for nominations: Marsh Awards for Excellence in Gallery Education 2019

Do you know someone doing excellent and inspirational work in gallery or visual art education and learning?

Engage, the National Association for Gallery Education and the Marsh Christian Trust are delighted to announce that nominations are open for the Marsh Awards for Excellence in Gallery Education 2019. The Awards, which recognise and celebrate the achievements of those working in learning and education within gallery or visual arts contexts (freelance, salaried or as volunteers) in the UK and internationally, grant winners £500 to spend on their professional development.

AIR Open 2019

​We are seeking entries for our annual summer exhibition the AIR Open 2019. Featuring artists from around the globe, this exhibition is open to any artist working in any theme.

​The cost is £5 per work. Artists can enter a maximum of 3 works for consideration. Entry fees are non-refundable and does not guarantee selection for the final show.

​Up to four cash prizes will be awarded. Max Value £1000

Nominations are invited for the Artes Mundi 9 Exhibition and Prize

Nominations can be for artists of any age working in any medium from anywhere in the world. They must be making and exhibiting work and should already be well-known in the country or region in which they live and work.  The nominated artist will also be gaining or have established an international reputation for their work.

OPEN CALL 2019: World of Co Artist Residency in Bulgaria

World of Co is a multidisciplinary artist residency located in Sofia, Bulgaria.

Residents can develop ideas and experiment with different techniques while focusing on a personal project or collaborating with local and international creatives.

The aim of the Residency is multileveled - from one side, bringing together international artists and creative people to Bulgaria to exhibit, collaborate, learn and share. From another side, to unveil a different perspective of one not-so-well-known country and its’ art potential.

Banff Artist in Residence Summer 2019

Overview

The Banff Artist in Residence (BAiR) program is designed for visual artists to focus on their own practice in a supportive learning environment. Participants are encouraged to explore new ideas, create, self-direct their research and time, and cultivate new directions in their work — all while surrounded by a community of peers within Banff Centre’s spectacular mountain setting.
