Banff Artist in Residence Late Spring 2019

Overview

The Banff Artist in Residence (BAiR) program is designed for visual artists to focus on their own practice in a supportive learning environment. Participants are encouraged to explore new ideas, create, self-direct their research and time, and cultivate new directions in their work — all while surrounded by a community of peers within Banff Centre’s spectacular mountain setting. 

Call-out to Artists - 18 exhibitions - #FaB19 Festival

Inviting Artists and Creatives from across the globe to respond to 18 exhibition and event proposals by early career curators. These will come together as the Fringe Arts Bath 2019 Festival programme, a 17 day free festival of contemporary visual arts.
Submission is free and deadline is 17 March 2019 for all exhibitions.

2019 Member's Exhibit

Healdsburg Center for the Arts is once again supporting artists and their creativity in the annual 2019 Members’ Exhibit. All artistic expression, painting, photography, printmaking, mixed media, three dimensional and written word are encouraged. There is no fee for submission for current members/donors.

Member and Donor artists may submit up to two pieces to the exhibit. All artists are guaranteed one piece in the show, additional pieces will be selected by the exhibit chairs, based on space availability.  Early submissions may have their piece selected as the exhibit marketing image.  All work must be for sale, HCA retains 40% of sale price as commission.

Reflectivity - Artists on Climate Change

The science is overwhelming. Artists reflect on and respond to mankind’s most urgent global issue, climate change. Your vision is our looking glass that clarifies this pressing condition with the hope of inspiring solutions. Healdsburg Center for the Arts proudly presents visions to inspire in this special exhibit: REFLECTIVITY – Artists on Climate.

Exhibition Dates: April 20 – June 2, 2019
Opening Reception: Saturday, April 20, 5:00 to 7:00 PM
Closing Tea & Artist Salon: Sunday, June 2, 11:00AM to 5:00PM
January 20, Applications Close
February 15, Notification of Jury Results
April 15 – 17, Delivery of work
Jury Fee: $20 HCA Members; $35 non-members (HCA 1 year membership for working artists is $40)

Art of Wine with a Vintage Palette

Located in the heart of wine country, Healdsburg Center for the Arts invites artists far and wide to submit art related in any way to the glorious world of wine: realistic, abstract, multimedia, sculpture, photos, labels, wine tasting, wine makers and representations of vineyard workers in the field. This show will be a visual taste and celebration of wine, wine making, enology, and viticulture. Media accepted: All media considered. Includes but not limited to painting, drawing, sculpture, mixed media, hand pulled prints, photographs, fiber arts, art glass, digital art and video art (digital and video artists must supply their own displays). Only original works will be accepted; no giclees or limited edition prints. 

 

2019 Healdsburg Art Festival

This juried art and fine craft show takes place on the beloved Healdsburg Plaza and is sponsored by Healdsburg Center for the Arts, in collaboration with the City of Healdsburg. The Art Festival is limited to 60 artists and will include art demonstrations, interactive art experiences, live performances, food and wine. All forms of visual and fine craft art are welcome to apply. The Festival is held on the historic plaza of downtown Healdsburg in the heart of Sonoma Wine Country. Just an hour north of San Francisco. Healdsburg is a vibrant community and draws visitors from across the US.
