Visual Arts Thematic Residency | Plastic - Online 2021

Overview
Plastic is everywhere, and is increasingly an object of environmental concern. However, it also provides the basis of our contemporary infrastructures including buildings, clothing, and communications networks. Despite the necessary campaigns for the elimination of single-use plastics, it is a material that cannot be easily dismissed. Plastic is one of the most intimate manifestations of our connections with oil, as it is used in everything from baby bottles to sex toys. It is also one of the foremost materials used in the production of contemporary art, from molds to vinyl to paints.

Interim Publication Issue 1 - 'As Yet Untitled'

Submit now to the Interim Publication called As Yet untitled. The zine will be a quality, 40 paged (80 sided) publication with artist profiles, photography and interviews. 
The zine will be 210mm x 105mm in size. 

Each issue will feature 2 Introducing Artists! This is a featured dedicated to emerging artists; the person / collective will each have a short interview and images of their work! 
There will also be exciting interviews with other arts platforms around the UK and further afield. 
Additionally, there will be up to 14 other people showcased in each issue (some issues there may be less dependant on articles / other content).

Superpresent

Superpresent is seeking submissions for its Summer 2021 issue.  The theme for the issue is "The Mind at Play".  We are seeking submissions of visual art, experimental art, poetry, essays, short stories, audio, and video.  Please check our website for details: www.superpresent.org

8th Annual Texas Juried Exhibition | Opening Reception

Artspace111 is pleased to announce an open call for submissions for the 8th annual Artspace111 Texas Juried Exhibition, juried by Caleb Bell, Curator at the Tyler Museum of Art. The competition includes eligibility for 2D and 3D artwork. The exhibition will be open July 10th through August 28th with an opening reception on the evening of July 17th. Due date for entries is Monday, May 24th. Contemporary 2D and 3D works that follow the requirements detailed in the prospectus are eligible for acceptance, artwork selected by the juror from the eligible submissions will be included in the Texas Juried Exhibition at Artspace111 and are eligible for cash awards.
