Join the Engage Scotland Development Group

The Engage Scotland Development Group (ESDG) operates as a voluntary steering group for the work of Engage in Scotland, influencing programming, supporting the Engage Scotland Coordinator’s role, representing the organisation and offering their experience and skills. 

Traditionally the ESDG has operated with three Area Reps who cover the very broad geographical areas of Glasgow and the West, Edinburgh and the East, and the Highlands and Islands. Area Reps are also members of the Engage Council. In addition to Area Reps the group has up to four voluntary or co-opted members. 

We currently have a vacancy for an Area Rep for Highlands and Islands/member of Engage Council.

Banff Artist in Residence Emerging | Visual Arts

Overview

Banff Artist in Residence (BAiR) Emerging is an immersive program of studio practice, creative exploration, and critical feedback and mentorship for visual artists in the early stages of their careers.

BAiR Emerging combines the artistic freedom of a self-directed residency with the supportive benefits of an organized program.  As well as having the space to create, research, and experiment, participants are part of a community of emerging artists committed to developing and expanding their practice.

Deadline: June 20, 2019 

The Higher Institute for Fine Arts is a post-graduate institute that combines art residency and individualized support with thorough advanced studies in the arts. The HISK provides young artists from Belgium and abroad with a workspace and pedagogical guidance for a duration of two years.
Visual artists from all countries working with any medium are welcome to apply for the programme. Artist duos are accepted.

The Mendocino Art Center (MAC) hosts the seventh annual Mendocino Open Paint Out (MOPO), a plein air festival. The Mendocino Coast, located along a beautiful expanse of the Pacific Ocean in northern California, is a spectacular setting for a plein air festival. Artists claim that the quality of light is unlike anywhere else in the world.

From the rugged surrounding landscape, to the bay and beaches, to the quaint Victorian architecture and water towers in the town of Mendocino, to the nearby vineyards and wineries, artists are sure to find abundant creative inspiration. And, you will remember the beauty and tranquility of the Mendocino Coast long after your visit.

OPEN CALL FOR ARTISTS • IN SITU ART FAIR

In Situ Art Fair singles out by being the leading Macedonian event to showcase and present a 360° array of novelties in art, design, architecture and the creative industries by fusing the distinctive capacities of the local milieu with those of the global scene.

To date, the only fair has hosted more than 513 individual participants from 40 world countries and above 45 special projects with galleries, academies, and cultural operators from various cultural and artistic scenes.

In Situ Art Fair will take place from 27 – 30 June at the Cultural Center, Skopje – Macedonia.

The call for applications is open until Monday, 20 May 2019, and artists are invited to use the “Early Bird” discount until Thursday, 25 April.
